Modi meets 100-member Bangladesh Youth Delegation in Delhi, calls it 'great interaction'
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has interacted with the group of Bangladeshi youths who are currently visiting New Delhi.
Had a great interaction with a youth delegation from Bangladesh," Modi tweeted after the meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday.
They also met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
The 100-member Bangladesh Youth Delegation left for India on Saturday on an eight-day tour at the invitation of the Indian government.
The delegation includes 52 women and 48 men, drawn from different regions of the country, diverse backgrounds and educational institutions of Bangladesh.
They are doctors, artists, sportspeople, journalists, engineers, models, radio jockeys, humanities and science students, and social workers, among others. For many, it is the first-ever overseas visits
This is the sixth year of the youth delegations’ visit to India since 2012 when the programme, seen as an approach to build bridges between the youths of the two neighbours, began.
Apart from Delhi, they will also take a trip to different cities such as Agra and Mumbai and see prominent cultural and historical sites, business centres, apart from holding interactions with the youth of India in educational, business, IT and technological institutions.
