With the American League Wild Card race going down to the wire, Sunday’s regular-season finales could decide whether Cleveland will make the playoffs. They’ll visit the Washington Nationals, who have already locked down a Wild Card in the National League; TBS has the first pitch at 3:05 PM ET.

The starting pitchers for Sunday’s game have yet to be announced, and there might have to be some fine-tuning for both clubs depending on their playoff schedules, but if the rotations hold up, it’ll be Mike Clevinger (2.39 ERA) taking the mound for Cleveland opposite Max Scherzer (2.92 ERA).

Clevinger has the Tribe at 14-6 this year with the Over at 11-9. The Nats are just 14-13 behind Scherzer with the total split at 12-12-3. Although Washington have clinched an NL Wild Card, they still have home-field advantage left to play for. The Tribe are in the thick of a three-horse race for the two AL Wild Card berths.

OF Jose Ramirez (.811 OPS) is back in the lineup after sitting out a month with a broken hand, but 2B Jason Kipnis (.715 OPS) had surgery on Tuesday and will miss the rest of the season with the same ailment.

MLB Odds: Tribe, Nats Close Regular Season with a Bang

Depending on what happens between now and then, Sunday’s game in DC between Cleveland and Washington could be important for both clubs – especially the Tribe, who are fighting for their playoff lives. First pitch is at 3:05 PM ET on TBS.

The Nationals have clinched a Wild Card berth in the National League, but have yet to lock down home-field advantage for that all-important playoff game. Max Scherzer (2.92 ERA) is due to pitch for Washington opposite Mike Clevinger (2.39 ERA) if the rotations hold; 2B Jason Kipnis (broken hand) will miss the rest of the year for Cleveland.
