🇬🇧 MISSION stuff [and you can help]

in #missionlast month

I love to make videos but sometimes other things are more important.

Many of the followers of my channel know that we life and work on Madagscar as christian missionaries. Making videos is somenthing I do in my spare time. Guess what! No spare time for the coming weeks.

I will travel to our remote village in the south-east on Monday the 14th of April. The house in which we've lived for 5 years need some maintenance. New water-pipes, a new outdoor kitchen, repairing the concrete floor, and overall cleaning... oh, and getting rid of the rats.

Why all the fuss? Well, a long desired plan is hopefully becoming reality later this month and the next ones. We will have several groups from Malagasy Bible-schools coming to our place. The idea is that they—young enthusiastic Christians—are going to do a week of outreach in our area!

It is a unique opportunity for them to learn how to reach out to a people-group other than their own familiar group. One group of students comes from the far south of Madagascar. They do not speak the dialect of the people from our area and their habits are different as well. Obviously they’ll have to find good ways to preach the Gospel. But they will also have to adjust to the lifestyle of a strange and remote rural area.

They will not be alone. I, myself will help them, but also my local brothers and sisters are more than willing to help them around. That is very important because many people in the villages around our village are very distrustful towards strangers—even if they are Malagasy.

The journey, and food whilst travelling, is very expensive by Malagasy standards. In preparation, they went to several churches to raise sponsorship. As it turns out, getting that done is not so easy. Money is a very sensitive issue on Madagascar. We are dealing with one of the poorest countries in the world. Yet, we felt it was important for students to try to raise some money. After all, the great commission of our Lord Jesus is telling churches to send missionaries and evangelists into the world. Secretly, one hopes that the churches will be eager to send them … Surely that will take some more time here.

So, how can you help this wonderful development in Gods Kingdom? Well, as you might have guessed, we still need to get the funding complete.

Maybe you want to consider and ask the Lord what you can afford to give? If you want to be part of this adventure you can give your donations through one of the following options.

Donate towards the students via STRIPE: https://donate.stripe.com/9AQ03q5iWfPm9fW144

Donate towards the students via PAYPAL: https://paypal.me/jurgenenkatja

Both methods will bring you to the account of https://wwww.jurgenenkatja.nl
Please mention that you are giving towards the students!

So, as said. It is going to be a while for me to make another video. But in the meantime you can always explore my older video... I am sure you haven't seen them all yet.

I wish you all God's rich blessings and thank you for your encouragements and prayers!
