RE: MSP Anti-Abuse Team Weekly Report #18

Hey guys. I love your work and didn't know about the blacklisting feature but I'm wondering if you can take it one step further.

You see, you have a lot of signals to identify accounts that are just here to profit from the system and was wondering if you could take it further and send in the steamcleaners on those particular posts?

Or at the very least have some humans take a look at them, so they can report as needed.

Is that possible or do you do it already?

Sort:

We do, frequently send in reports to SC. I work closely with them, and several of their people have access to our back-channels to directly report stuff they find first to us.

Awesome! That's what I was hoping to hear.

Is there any more we can do to help? I try to promote the project, but don't want to give you more work.

Seriously, I'm hoping they don't lower the barrier to entry too much as we'll have an endless stream of spam to fight.

Something like a high cost of entry that is refunded when you reach a (30) rep score or something similar could stop the flow of shill accounts.

Also, is it possible to show trends in future reports, so we can see if the problems are trending up or down? Thanks.
