How Much Profit Can You Make Leasing SteemPower From @minnowbooster

in #minnowbooster7 years ago

Hello Fellow Steemians,

I recently leased 300SP from @minnowbooster For 4 weeks with a total cost of 8 Steem (8*$1.2=$9.6).

My total voting power is 300(Delegated from @minnowbooster)+87 Steem Power=387SP Which between %100-%80 voting power gets me $0.04 and as we know a %100 upvote costs %1.7 of your voting power meaning that if i upvote everyday 12 times i'll stay in that %100-%80 voting power range(which is the most profitable it's not profitable when you take your voting power too low).

power@80%.png

-) 12 upvotes a day * $0.04 = $0.48
-) 28 days * $0.48 = $13.44

So we are looking at a profit of $13.44-$9.6=$3.84 without including the curation rewards you'll get from 387SP, Now i know this might not be a huge profit but my initial investment was only 8 Steem and i would make $9.6/$3.84=%40 profit if i stuck to upvoting myself 12 times a day for 28 days(at least).

Thanks For Taking The Time And Reading My Post If You Found It Informative Enough Please Resteem It And Let Other Steemians Know How To Make A Profit Leasing SP :)

Well its good but it actually let one to post more and more daily with some low quality posts and just upvoting themselves. I guess they should upvote some good posts from others too, and produce own good posts rather than just posting single pics in their posts and upvote them.

You Don't Have To Post Low Quality Posts, You Just Have To Post The Same Quality Of Posts As You Had Before Leasing :)

thank you for sharing. deserves a upvote:)

You're Welcome :)

Interesting.. I didn't know there is already a leasing system in place. I delegated some of my Steem but that is new. How do they get the Steem back when the lease is over and how do they make sure you don't just make pay out and leave for Mexico?

Delegating Is A Feature In Steem Which Lets You "Delegate" YOUR SteemPower To Someone Else, Meaning That They Can't Power It Down Or Withdraw It In Any Way They Can Just Take Advantage Of Having The Delegated Amount In Voting Power :)

Thanks for sharing. I leased some SP a while back but I really have no idea if it was profitable or not. I was upvoting a lot of content so hopefully it was.

Now I'm leasing out steem and that is was easier to see since you get daily payouts from minnowbooster.

I'm Going To Assume That You Mean Delegating By "Leasing Out Steem" :)
Either Way That's Still Profitable But I Doubt That You Can Get %40 Profit In Such A Short Time Frame By Delegating To @minnowbooster !!!

Lol. Yes. That is what I meant.

Thanks for the update, @steemian69! I haven't yet tried the "Delegate to Bot" feature, but I used @minnowbooster for the first time the other day to upvote one of my posts and it worked famously.

As always, look forward to your future updates :D

Thanks For Your Continious Support, @minnowbooster Is Definetly A Profitable Project :)

22.4% of your voting power is from your old steem.

But anyways 13.44*.7759....=10.418
If the cost of leasing the 300sp was $9.6
your profit might be .81.

Not much room for mistakes, and steem prices varies greatly. The other thing is if you vote for yourself superlatively, other users won't like you-and some steem users throw a fit about those who do. The other thing is, if you are voting for yourself, you aren't voting to advance your rankings as a top user in steemfollower-which is how I found your post.

In Regards Of Upvoting Myself, I Won't Be Upvoting Any Of My Own Comments, I Am Using The steemfollower.com Exchange So That I Can Give Back To The Community And Get Rewards In Return :)

That was also my idea, upvote others on steemfollower and the upvotes will come back.

I did try investing 40 steem over 4 weeks.
I tried to to get up to 2 posts a day at times. Used half on myself and half on others then went overseas just before the delegated period was over.
I think overall its good in terms of voting and helping others and earn back from the interactions but overall I don't think can expect to gain any profit in the end using it on your own content. Its a nice feeling though being to upvote and see a larger number vs a few cents.

It Sure Is A Good Felling :)

Yes it is a great feeling, getting addicted to this :)

Great reasearch. Thanks for the info

You Are Welcome :)
