Survival Of The Weakest: (Engagements) #3

Countless times I have seen alot of blogs talking about this same thing "Engagements" and I feel it's one of the most important or should I say the most crucial factor we must consider if we want to thrive on Steemit.

Its so painful to see the number of steem accounts that become inactive or dormant eachday maybe because they had absolutely no idea how things run in here or because they couldn't get access to powerful posts about engagements/survival due to low exposure.

If your motive was to come in here and just make away with some cash images (24).jpegwithout building any form of relationship with your fellow steemian, believe me you won't last long enough here!!!!

The secret to the success of about 95% of steemians in this platform is engage alot with alot of peeps on this platform.. Come on! we are humans, let's interact.

Anytime you see a good post even if it has little or no rewards(some peeps get attracted to posts with some huge rewards ignoring quality or value ) or not try as much as possible to leave a comment or maybe two if it leads to a conversation.

Do this everytime, this way you are building a long-lasting relationship and you never can tell who would become a whale first in the nearest future.

Even the success of the big whales for example @surpassinggoogle @donkeypong @tojukaka @ejemai was as a result engagements and relationship that had been built in the past, they form this kinda unity, circle or ring helping each other and at the same time promoting themselves with quality comments.

You can also build relationships with the whales in here. Do your own research on those powerful accounts(whales) that you share same area of blogging/niche with.

Some Tips below:

* Try as much as possible to leave reasonable, valuable and ground-breaking comments on their posts: When you leave ground-breaking comments on their pages(be it whales, redfish or minnows ) it makes them uncousiously(😂) check you out, do some justice to some of your posts and maybe follow you🚶🚶🚶this way, you killed two birds with just a single slingshot.

* Avoid using this words: Nice post, Great post, I upvoted you please do same, Great blog, I like it, Please follow me etc because doing this will make you look like a very lazy blogger or it makes them see you as someone who doesn't really appreciate their post or someone that just skimmed through without reading it. Some whales, out of annoyance might flag your account, trust me, you don't wanna get on the bad side of these guys.

* Avoid posting unresonable pictures on their pages except it's some kinda contest or funny meme challenge : I myself made some mistakes recently. I commented on a post by @trumpman and then left a picture/signature, damn he was mad at me... but as at then, I had no idea that I was doing something wrong. I had to take down the picture immediately.😂😂 Don't wanna upset anyone here, still trying prove a point and have a voice here just like you... Yes You😎

* Make use of @ginabot: As most of know that there's nothing like a notification function installed on the platform yet, that's when @ginobot comes in.

You might be wondering what @ginabot is.

@ginabot is bot that has been built or programmed to notify you of all your activities on Steemit. it tells who followed, un-followed, commented, your transactions, mentioned you, notify you of who posted, and so many more.

Believe me, it's a very powerful tool and it's pretty handy for we minnows. Trust me you don't wanna miss out the post of that good friend or whale of yours and you don't want to be late to the party 🎊 🎊 🎊. With @ginabot , you can track all your movements, Yes I mean ALL!!!!

True advice to all steemians, anyone on this platform should aspire to provide great things that will help our relationship to grow and to help make the world better

Well said man. Also avoid taking up things from the net without giving credit/making reference to the source. For example, pictures. Original material is largely smiled at and appreciated here. Thanks for your contribution man. @synick

Well, i agree with you 100% that engagements helps a lot, infect it helps every minnow in surviving here on Steemit.

You were talking about @ginabot, i was happy at first but towards the end i wasn't. Reason being that i was expecting a little tutorial on how to use @ginabot

Oh! thanks for stopping by Man @aathuspian. Engagement and interaction is key on Steemit.

Heres a link to a tutorial I just made How To Use @ginabot To Track All Your Movements And Activities On Steemit( A Brilliant Notification Bot)[2018] Your comment drove me to make a post about it. I hope it helps you and everyone.

This was one of the many advice I was given when I first joined and I've stucked to them ever since and it's been really helpful. Thank you for this useful information to us Minnows.

You are highly welcome✌✌✌You got to know about it earlier and that's very good. @edwin23

I'd advise you use #stemng tag only when the post has a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) content :)

I agree with you that steemit is a social media, the least we could do is to socialise. Part of that includes engagement and interaction with people on the platform. Keep steeming. Peace.

Thanks for the advice concerning the tag usage. Socializing here on steemit is something that we must to do to thrive here, no doubt. @greenrun
