I Am The Child Of Stellabelle Here To Share My Love of Minecraft With Steemit!

We built Steemit signs today in Minecraft.

Just like @papa-pepper, I have been thinking of ways to prepare for my child's future. What better way than to teach my kid about blockchain technology, decentralized social media and digital currency than to create a kid-centric account, bringing the youth together on here? This will help my kid understand how the new economy works.

When my kid gets old enough, this account will be handed down. Also, I've been thinking of ways to bring the youth of Steemit together......Smells Like Teen Steemit was one group name I considered. What do you think? How can we form our own groups in Steemit to help each other learn and share new info?

Anyway, this account will be all about Minecraft including tips, tricks, and other cool things. Everything in this account will be aimed at the younger crowd, and I really think youth can adopt the idea of Steemit faster than adults.

My kid and I are going to do creative things, projects, videos and of course build Minecraft creations to help promote Steemit to young people. What better way to express love for Minecraft than to share it with the Steemit community?

We hope you enjoy them! Also, we'll be doing a minecraft tips series and our first one will show you how to turn your horses, sheep, pigs, and all your other minecraft animals upside down! Hint: it has something to do with naming them! See how all the animals are upside down in my minecraft world?

This is great!

It would be fun to have a Minecraft server setup that allowed people to see posts in game, supported upvotes, and even paid people in Steem for specific activities.

This group pays out in Bitcoin for Minecraft mining.

what do you mean 'minecraft mining?'

Loading...

how does it work? i just checked it out....have you used it before?

I have played for almost a year, but not continuously. Oh! I just noticed this message

6/7/2016 - PROGRAM IS COMPLETE - I HAVE NO MORE BTC TO GIVE AWAY!

When this program was active, this is what I would do to get BTC.

  1. Sign up for an account at minecraftcc.com

  2. Log in to the server, play.minecraftcc.com

  3. Register your Minecraft name and bitcoin address on this page, http://minecraftcc.com/index.php?threads/post-your-bitcoin-address-here.4614/

  4. Play Minecraft!

Again, I just found out Sgt. Spike (server admin) stopped running this Minecraft mine for BTC program. Sorry, I thought this was still going.

how much btc did you make? That is crazy!

At first, I thought it was automated. It may have been automated near the end, but I'm pretty sure the server admin was using a spreadsheet.

c'mon, how much btc did you make?

It was so long ago and across so many wallets... I am pretty sure I didn't make over .1 btc. It was more of a novelty to combine my two interests.

There have been on other similar sites when I was working for Bitcoin Magazine.

http://www.planetminecraft.com/server/bitvegas-bitcoin-casino/ (pretty sure this site is down)

My 19 yr old they likes to play minecraft. Good idea getting your children involved :)

Mine are still to young (they are definitely no teen yet) to be part of that, but who knows, maybe in some future they could join as well the Steemit-Children playground ^^

Very nice minecrafting there! Great idea to make steemit more interesting to young people. I really think we need more under 21 people on here. They are the ones who are most connected among themselves and can influence their friends to come here or stay away.

For a name, maybe something like Steem Meme Team, or Steem Pays Tho!
Or a longer one like, That Moment My Post Went Viral On Steemit!

Better yet, let them think up their own name. :P When there are a few of them here, one will do a post on what to call ourselves and the others will comment with their suggestions and they will all vote for the best one.

The youth are our future, let's introduce them to steemit and make them feel welcome here!

My son is into Minecraft, but I've not played it. I did try to get him interested in the way you can build stuff by writing Python programs.

I think Steemit needs some features to make it better for kids. They need to be protected from the adult content out there
