Oh, yes! I think parents don't think sometimes, or in actuality, they see and emulate.
Great story and shows how innocently these things can start and be like a runaway train.

Morning @dswigle, I don't think parents are aware of the big impact they have on their kids. In Australia we have a saying, he is 'just the chip off the old block!'
Oh, yes! We have that one here too. Also, when they do something bad that is obviously copied behavior, we say, "they come by it honestly."
Parents are totally in denial.
That is a very nice way to explain a child's behaviour. And parents not coming to the party sounds very familiar. Admitting to their child's behaviour is far too confronting.
