Understanding the Human Nature as a Means for Influence...

in #mindset6 years ago

Hello, dear Steemians!

How can we influence other people to make the right choice and live a better life? Often enough, we see people who could really use some thoughtful improvement, but they would refuse the advance of our thoughts regarding their life.

What do you do in a situation like that?

I remember that I once had a friend who really needed to shake things up in his life and turn the page, but he refused to listen to my advice. Years went by and still he couldn’t bring himself to listen to my words and take heed of my wisdom.

Not that I was particularly wise, but I did know what I was talking about, and I had been in the place where he was. What I learned from that experience is that things are easier said that done, as the old saying goes.

If you want to influence others in life, or really yearn for a change in the way of society, you need to first learn how to change your own perspective and actions. People do not want to hear about success, they want to see success.

When we take a look at the human nature, we begin to realize that over-the-top view hardly ever works and preaching will not get you anywhere. However, you can become a role model of a healthy and successful life.

You can become a role model for aspiring dreamers. Only then will you start to truly influence their lives and change their mindset.

How do we know this about human nature?

Imagine a child whose parents are always shouting instructions at him and growing him with a set of principles that are always explained by the way of words.

image3.jpg
img src

That child might go on to show stubbornness to their orders and resist against their instructions. The psychological reason behind this is that the child cannot fathom the consequences and results of following their orders.

He cannot wreathe meaning and logic to their words, and that is why he decides to not listen to them.

Were the parents to simply show him how he must behave or make decisions, and were he to simply see the outcome of this wisdom, he would decide to follow it inadvertently and without direct confrontation.

That is the same about influencing all the other people who are in your life. When you preach about what success means and how one can achieve it, your audience will only have your words for comprehension, but when they actually see it, they will start to take you and your words much more seriously.

image1.jpg
img src

People follow actions, not words. Actions inspires, while words simply gratify. If you want to influence other people and their lives, make a change in your own life and let yourself become an embodiment of that change.

Achieve success, and see how all those who are around you will be inspired by your words and actions to take steps for their own lives.

A BIG HUG!

Great post!

Thanks for your excellent article, people will request you to know your secret how you have succeed in your life not only that they will request you to guide them to be as you. thanks.

You can Read books like Awaken the giant within for learn how to take immediate control of your mental emotional, physical & financial destiny

most people only see something from the results without anyone being able to see what the process is like, that's what makes it difficult for people to succeed. they only look at one side without caring about the other side. we just try to help people move their hearts, but no matter how much motivation the other person gives, there is no benefit if there is no motivation for himself or herself

The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do.

Don’t be scared to fly high, ’cause it will inspire others.

Become the initiator, serve other people without expecting them to do the same. If you start giving without expecting anything in return, you will see people complimenting and connecting with your work in no time.

Sometimes this phrase ºººYou Inspire Meººº makes a lot of movements in people who need just an inspiration, it is not an action, this is a simple word, but it can be convert an action because other people could be motivated by you...!!!

Incredible @chbartist ...!!!

While it is often true that we teach better by example, as a teacher and a parent I can tell you that our advices are not always followed or even noticed, even when they come with practice and examples.

There are many variables involved in someone not following or listening to the voice of experience. From simple blind stubborness to low self-esteem or shame.

That does not change the fundamental principle, though. It is better when our ethos allows us to show-don't-tell.

I've seen countless times parents trying to demand order or discipline from their children when they are uncapable of even being on time for a parents-teacher conference.

In any case, it is ultimately up to each individual to listen to an advice and make significant changes in their life. Sometimes people end up listening to the "least authorized" voice. WHo cares, as long as they listen and change.

Dear @hlezama

I always enjoy reading such a mature comments.

Keep up with good work :) Steemit indeed needs more people as responsive and supportive as you are.

Thanks, man. I appreciate it.

@chbartist sir!
Our tendencies are the symbol of our character which is clearly seen in the activities of our behavior or daily life. Human tendency is the most difficult task to understand. The way in which the last post week argued arguments about the identity of confidant and treacherous persons and it is very difficult to find ways to identify them. Understanding the human tendencies in the exact same way has always been always a menstrual question because it is not written on anyone's forehead that the person is of a wicked nature. Even in living in society, we can detect trends in its gestures. The strange irony is that the person runs behind success while they have the most needed skills. Before changing the attitude of other people, we need to change our attitude and thinking, because preaching is easy but it is very difficult to follow.

Goodnight

Definitely I agree with what you indicate, people are influenced, when they see that person who wants to influence her, as an example to follow.

There are many people who want to inspire others, but, simply, they are not the example in which they want to see other people. To give a simple and even cruel example, I have observed people who work as sellers of food products. They help you lose weight and try to sell the product, but you see that the seller is overweight, the prospective buyer does not see it as an example to follow and they stop buying it.

When we want to be an example for other people, we must profess the example and, with that, in addition to our ability to influence others, we can convince others

thank you very much friend, greetings.

Really like what you have to say here.

To me, children wouldn't necessarily choose to follow their parents who do right, they would just follow, without an active "choice," because they knew nothing else.

I'm a nanny, and the best parents I have worked for are the ones who hardly instruct their children. Instead, I witnessed this very interesting shift in the dynamic of the parent-child relationship where the teacher (in this case the parent) becomes the student, and the student (in this case the child) becomes the teacher.
The children may, for example, ask the parent, "is it a good idea for me to reach the shelf on my toes or with a stool?" And the parent would reply something like "whichever works best for you, child" and the child would then proceed to surprise the parent by reaching the shelf on their toes and successfully obtaining the item by using either their sheer height or another tool, such as a cooking spoon.
These types of water (fluid role) relationships are truly inspiring, children are often wiser than we give them credit for, especially when they're given the room to explore and ask questions! They tent to exercise more trust in a parent who is open about making mistakes and admitting to their limited knowledge/experience, vs. a parent who "knows best"..

With that being said, I think that allowing ourselves to view the world through the eyes of our inner child will give us an entirely new and awakening experience. We have the potential to make day-to-day life much more enriching for ourselves by slowing down our thought process, and like you said, @chbartist, through making daily change. It's never too late to start becoming our greatest versions!!(: Thank you for your inspiring post.

That's right ... we must be the reflection of what we are talking about, the reflection of what we preach. It happened to me very often, if I seek advice from someone, it is because I have seen the result in that person.

I have encountered many people like that. I just thought those people were stuck in their mindset of not allowing others to influence their decisions on things. Actions really do speak louder than words since actions reinforce the words we speak. I believe words alone cannot convince most people no matter how eloquent and/or wise it sounds.
