Mental Schisms - "Master" and "Slave"

in #mind7 years ago

The way our brains function will have a great impact on how our lives progress. Everything in our lives is based on behaviors form ourselves and form others. Everything that exists in the human world is the result of actions to create that which exists in the human world we created.

Our experiences in life are also based on the way our brain works. Understanding how the brain works and how the psyche (consciousness) works can be an advantage in life. Lacking understanding can be a disadvantage compared to those who do understand.

As we grow up we learn from our environment. The environment imprints onto us and shapes us into who we become. If we have good experiences and develop a balance of functionality in our lives, we will have a healthy and balanced brain. If we have bad experiences, this can hinder the development of our functionality in life, and we can have an unhealthy and imbalanced brain and psyche.

Two of the main polarized expressions of consciousness play out as the Master and the Slave. These are mental schisms. The "master" schism is characteristic of a left-brain type of imbalanced thinking. The "slave" schism is characteristic of a right-brain type of imbalanced thinking. Both imbalanced lead to forms of mind control, and both can even occur in the same person in various ways.

The "master" mental schism plays out as dominator and controller tendencies, of wanting to control other people's actions, behavior and decisions. They often engage in physical aggression if someone disobeys their commands.

The "slave" mental schisms plays out as the order-follower, of doing what others say, possibly having addictive tendencies and attachment through feelings of unworthiness and self-loathing. They let the dominators and controllers get their way.

We can see plenty of this in the modern world, especially in the police and military. Oddly enough, the display both mental schisms, as slaves who are obedience to the chain of command, or the chain of obedience. Then they in turn bark out commands to others and expect them to obey their commands.

Great insight, I just joined here but if anybody wants some artistic expressions of this conscious type shit you'd love my profile.

I'm just about to start a mass migration of all my content from traditional outlets like YouTube/SoundCloud/Instagram to here on Steemit.
