There is Steem Chat I don't know how many use it, or how trustworthy it is or who the people are behind it. I have been in there a few times, mostly during the Hard Forks to try and see what is going on, I have stopped by firepowers room on occasion also. But it seems most people like the discord chat, you hardly ever see someone even mention steem chat anymore or having a room in steem chat.
