Apart from adjusting to new location, culture and values as well as getting papers and permits in order you face another problem:

Understand the workings of the new markets and the degree of evolution of the Recruiting Process in light of current IT technological developments

The Human Resources Function in a given country may have different degrees of evolution, even within industries. And this will impacts how the candidate will run the search and manage the application processes.

  • Does the market is still using technology of the late 90's such as News Paper Adverts, Faxes and Portals Web 2.0?

  • Or the Markets are using Leading Technology as LinkedIn, ATS's/Corporate Career Centers or even bots as the new Vera

Never assume the markets work as in your country of origin. Make sure you do your due diligence to find out how it works. Take into consideration that you will always face three sectors: Multinationals, Local and Government Public Companies. Each sector will have different behaviors and expectations, and even they will change within markets /industries.

You can always network /read 📖 about the problem to get updated.

I think its a leap of faith! You are taking a whole and big risk in moving out of your own country and found settlement elsewhere. People and cultures always differ from places.

But in Venezuela as well as other communist countries, migration is the norm. Even Africa. Look at what is happening in Central America.

My main point is that people migrating needs to plan and adjust to new environments, laws, culture and regulations

I do agree that one should do the due diligence to make sure that migration leaves no bad test

Age factor is other aspects to consider in the job industrie. It depends of your specialisation, your age could be in your favor or agains you. But still it depends of the country.

That is correct. Latin America and Spain discriminate people on age. Middle East not, but minimum they require 10+ years experience in technical fields
