United Nations NOT interested in Peace since founding in 1948 (witnessed by more than 20,000 people)

On November 22, 1948 a document called "The Oran Declaration;" which was supported by various important figures of that time; including prominent thinkers such as Albert Einstein, Albert Camus, Albert Schweitzer, Lord Boyd-Orr, Claude Bourdet, Richard Wright and Carlo Levi was delivered to , Dr. Herbert Vere Evatt - then the third president of the General Assembly of the United Nations by Robert Sarrazac.

It was written in French by Albert Camus according to Actualités des Citoyens du Monde and is cited here:

"Monsieur le Président,
Messieurs,

Au nom des peuples du monde qui ne sont pas représentés ici, je vous interromps,

Mes paroles seront sans doute insignifiantes pour vous. Et pourtant notre besoin d'un ordre mondial ne peut être plus longtemps négligé.

Nous, le peuple, nous voulons la paix que seul un gouvernement mondial peut donner.

Les Etats souverains que vous représentez ici nous divisent et nous mènent à l'abîme de la guerre.

J'en appelle à vous pour que vous cessiez de nous entretenir dans l'illusion de votre autorité politique. J'en appelle à vous pour que vous convoquiez immédiatement une Assemblée Constituante Mondiale qui lèvera le drapeau autour duquel tous les hommes peuvent se rassembler : LE DRAPEAU DE LA SOUVERAINETE D'UN SEUL GOUVERNEMENT POUR UN SEUL MONDE.

Si vous manquez à cette tâche, écartez-vous, une Assemblée des Peuples surgira des masses mondiales pour bâtir ce gouvernement.

Car rien de moindre ne peut nous servir."

...To fully understand this story we first need to explore another character - the leader of the group of intellectuals such as Albert Einstein, Albert Camus, Albert Schweitzer, Lord Boyd-Orr, Claude Bourdet, Richard Wright and Carlo Levi; at that time a 26 year old former Broadway actor and US. bomber pilot of World War II - by the name of Sol Gareth "Garry" Davis.

On 25 May, 1948, in Paris, France, Sol Gareth "Garry" Davis renounced his exclusive citizenship in and allegiance to the United States of America using the prescribed Legal form below:

At the same time, he publicly declared himself a "citizen of the world."

From that moment on, Davis, legally "outside" the nation-state represented the sovereignty of all human beings and become an operative world-government-in-microcosm.

Many, especially in the United States, derided Davis as a "frustrated war veteran," "impractical," "utopian." or simply crackpot."

The French government ordered Davis out of France by 12 September. But with no passport, Davis was stuck...until the United Nations General Assembly came to Paris on 7 September and declared the Palais de Chaillot "international territory."

Davis again staked his claim 11 September by "leaving" France and "entering" the UN's territory! With the UN as backdrop, the World Citizen called for world law, asking the UN to transform itself into a world government via a review conference sanctioned by article 109 of its Charter.

The world citizen movement gained momentum when on 19 November, 1948, the former bomber pilot with friends from the balcony of the Palais de Chaillot in Paris, interrupted a session of the General Assembly. His speech began with the words, "I interrupt in the name of the people of the world not represented here." Dr. Herbert Evatt was presiding over the Assembly at that time. He looked up to the balcony railing in surprise and waved for him to continue. The U.N. security police, however, forcibly removed him as he shouted, "I pass the word to the people!" Compatriots, including Robert Sarrazac and Father Paul Monteclard, finished reading out the short declaration from different parts of the theater while Albert Camus held a press conference in a nearby cafe to distribute the text, known now as the "Oran Declaration." It publicly called upon that body to declare and transform itself into a democratic world government, thus providing a stable base for peace and legitimizing world citizenship. This time, UN security police expelled Davis forcibly.

The events that transpired on the 19th of November, 1948, on the balcony of the Palais de Chaillot in Paris.

On December 3, 1948, at a meeting at the Salle Pleyel, Paris, presided over by Dr. Albert Einstein and attended by 3000 Parisians plus the world press, his newly formed Conseil de Solidarite addressed three questions to the U.N.: Have you a plan to organize peace and what is it? If you do not have such a plan, do you propose to develop one? If you are as concerned as we are, have you the right to ignore the declaration 'The Oran Declaration' of November 22?

On December 9, 1948, at a meeting at the Velodrome d'Hiver in Paris, attended by 17,000 people, the group read Dr. Evatt's reply to their request that the General Assembly set aside one day for presentation of the peoples' peace plan.

In sum, the Assembly president admitted that the U.N. was NOT established to "make peace" since that was only possible at the discretion of the "Great Powers"...

And that is why we are doomed to a state of perpetual war until the UN can be dismantled and we can create body capable of enforcing international law.
