Iran-Israel Tensions:

There's been a period of intense conflict, including U.S. military strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and reciprocal missile attacks between Iran and Israel. While a ceasefire appears to be holding, uncertainty remains, and the situation is still very volatile. The CIA reportedly assesses Iran's nuclear program has been "severely damaged" by recent strikes. Iran's parliament is even considering exiting the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Gaza War:

The conflict in Gaza continues, with ongoing Israeli military operations and significant Palestinian casualties. There are reports of Israeli forces recovering more hostages' remains and ongoing efforts for aid distribution, which has itself been deadly in some instances. The UN has relisted Israel on its blacklist of countries committing abuses against children in armed conflict.
