There is a swirl around in the community whether India would ban crypto currency during courts hearing on 20th of July.

Well, here is some good news!

NITI Aayog, Indian government’s think tank, is reportedly set to launch IndiaChain – a nationwide blockchain infrastructure that will enable both government and private companies to build applications, CCN & FactorDaily Reported.

It would be an Interoperable platform that would help connect the government with private companies to build apps based on Blockchain Technology.

It is yet to see which platform would be used. There are few coins that work on Interoperability majorly ICON, ARK, AION BLOCK, LINK etc.

However, it is interesting & a high possibility that India would use its own 'ZEBI' that is urrently being adopted by the Andhra Pradesh Government.

NITI Aayog Officials have compared the scale of the blockchain project to that of the country’s massively-successful UPI Payments (United Payments Interface), a software layer that enables instant payments between domestic bank accounts.

To start with, Initially the Government plans to build some apps and later would allow private players to improve or build new ones under this programme.

The government is currently researching the use case scenarios of Blockchain Technology is Education, Healthcare and Agriculture. India also plans to crackdown on counterfeit drugs in supply chain by adopting Blockchain Technology.
