Album Recommendation: Suffering Hour - The Cyclic Reckoning

Well, it has been 2 years since I posted something here, so... umm... here we go again!

I wrote about these guys 3 years ago, when they released their debut, where I compared them to aliens and such. Few years passed, and here it is, their second release, and what could I say except, they put out one of the best albums I heard, maybe, ever.

Prior to this, in 2019., they released an EP called "Dwell". Its over 18min long single track, that proved to me, again, what they are capable of and it kinda gave me a taste of what to expect in the future.

"The Cyclic Reckoning" is grimey but yet, so atmospheric and full sounding album. Like an ethereal void coming your way and you are just standing there, waiting for it to swallow you entirely.

This is the band's step forwards and I can't wait for more!

Suffering Hour are a blackened death metal band from Forest Lake, Minnesota. Forming under a different name as a tech-thrash band in 2010, the band carried their sense of manic chaos and old-school structure into the world of cosmic black death. Profound Lore Records.
