Who's King Agrippa, and why is he in the Mishnah and the Book of Acts? ✡ LESSON TAKEAWAY

in #messianic7 years ago (edited)

The Mishnah and the New Testament are two Jewish writings from the same Jewish world. An example is how King Agrippa shows up in both. The Mishnah give us further information about this man who spoke with the Apostle Paul and was almost persuaded to become a Christian. Izzy also talks about the terms "Christian" and "Messianic", how one comes from Western Greek-Roman Christianity, and the other comes from Eastern Aramaic-Hebrew Christianity, and how neither terms was how we primarily self-identified anyway. This is a takeaway from lesson 24 in our Mishnah Snapshots series. Watch the full lesson here: https://holylanguage.com/mishnah.php
