My memory

in #memory6 years ago

I think everyone has a memory that you never forget and want to keep this memory forever. For me, the memory that I don’t want to forget is about when my father taught me to swim.
My father passed away 6 year ago. My father liked to travel and he’s always traveling with family. He took me to travel to a lot of places. And one place that I have good memory and never forgot is Erawan Waterfall. My father taught me to swim at this place. I loved this place because I have a good memory about my father. This story happened when I was 8 years old. At that time I can’t swim and have a fear of swimming because I nearly drowned in a river near my grandmother house. It made me feel bad about the water. My father knows about that and he wanted to teach me to swim. When we arrived at the waterfall, I really felt bad and bored. Because I can’t do anything. I just sat and watched other people swim in the water fall. I didn’t understand why my father took me to this place. But he came to talk with me and told me that he wanted to teach me swim. I told him that I can’t do it. But he told me that He wanted me to trust him. He told that he won’t let me drown and there is nothing you can’t do. That made me feel confident enough to swim. I trusted him My father hold my hand when we were in the water. He was holding and helping me to float on the water and told me how to swim. He taught me to kick my legs on the water and how to hold my breath. I start with floating in the water and tried to swim in basic way. Sometimes I’m choking with water and think I can’t do it anymore but my father encouraged me. He gave the power to me that made me brave enough to study to swim again and again. Finally I can swim and can swim at Erawan waterfall with my family. This place has good memories for me. We took a lot of pictures. When I saw the picture I feel happy and missed my father. I think If he didn’t teach me, I would fear the water and couldn’t swim. Now I can swim and I’m not scare anymore because my father taught me that day. He is my hero but my hero didn’t stay with me for a long time. I still trust him all the time. My father always said “There is nothing you can’t do” with me. When I am thinking about what my father always said, It’s makes me have encourage to do a lot of things.
I want to keep this memory because this memory of my father is as a hero for me and he stays with me.
