Facebook is looking so silly nowadays. What is the point? Sharing your life for free? What are "likes" for? Internet social status? Popularity? Being cool? Meh I prefer to be a loser, but I will NEVER work for free. Zuckerberg gets richer every day while you share your expensive steak photo. He ain´t giving users shit. Instead he owns you through Big Data. Its about time to get over Facebook, it is utter crap.
Now someone needs to go onto Facebook and post that......
Seems that Facebook users need social approvement through "likes".
Smells like low self-eSTEEM to me.
HAHAHAH pun intended! ;)
i do not use fb since 2015 and from that time i finding a site that pays you like steemit and 2 months ago i found and this is beggars description .love steemit
When I discovered steemit, then I realized it's of no real use spending the most of my internet times on fb, ig, and others....
If all my likes on fb were to be a $1 up vote, I would a be billionaire right now...
Steemit is the best and an all time rockas.
Nice @rocketboom
It's so weird. These days, when I do visit FB, I have to stop and think about how much Steem Power I have left. Then I remember, duh, I don't need Steem Power to vote. But yeah, I'm spending a lot less time on FB these days.
When I visit Facebook I don´t "like" more than 10 posts a day. And I am very selective with my "likes"
LOL
If Facebook would share the money they earn thanks to the content their users create and share... it would make a lot of sense. But no... FB creator is amongst the richest humans on earth because of this, he keeps all the money for himself, fucking his users in the ass. Moron.
I like FB because it helps me keep in touch with friend/relatives/etc. Still, I like sites like Quora and Reddit more for information and interesting discussions. Lately, I've been learning a lot on Steemit and also hoping to grow my stake. If Reddit would create a digital currency, they'd probably kill it. I guess the thing about Reddit is the discussions get deeper than they do on Steemit because many users don't have a profit motive, and those that do just want attention for other businesses.
Facebook is exhausting. I still use it for business, but I prefer messaging people in one-on-one chats if I really want to have a conversation. Otherwise, yes, Steemit just makes so much sense. Even a couple of cents is more than what you're getting paid on Facebook. I wish people would focus on that more than on what certain users are earning. That's a scarcity mindset that doesn't belong in the world of abundance that we're building in the crypto-space.
Agreed, 90 percent of the time I use FB for chat - and a lot of that is for business, but some is simply to friends or family. With Steemit, you have to go to another platform to have a private discussion.
I've started to treat FB Messenger more like the way I used to use AOL Instant Messenger, and then public posts on my timeline can work more like away messages.
Ain’t that the truth. I barely go on Facebook since I joined Steemit.
Nice one! So do I
On facebook your posts actually are being read. While on steem does not matter what quality article i create dissapears without even views. Frustrating... But to sum up all pros and cons steemiy better anyway because people can get something... Meaning steemit idea is better than facebook's but steemit site is worse than facebook, site needs massive changes to be comparable to facebook.
Forget facebook, steemit all day and everyday :)
Absolutely!
Haven't used Facebook in years. Lost interest in it. It was boring.
It makes no sense to waste our time there. Unless you are desperate for social approvement.
The reason most Facebook users will NEVER come to Steemit or the Steem blockchain is simply because (and let's be honest people) Steemit is not a direct alternative to a social media like Facebook. Steemit is closer to a Reddit or a Wordpress blogging platform than it is a social media like Facebook.
Steepshot.io is getting closer to a Instagram alternative, but still there is no Steem based Facebook option. Steem does have great app alternatives like D.Tube to YouTube, DSound.audio to Soundcloud, Dlive.io to Twitch, Zappl.com to Twitter, and @slangtionary to Urban Dictionary (coming soon) but we need a Facebook to Steem alternative. Developers, Thinkers, and more where y'all at? Utopian.io will help too @rocketboom
Great post! Upvoted and resteemed
Great comment! Thanks!
I agree... Steemit is more of a Reddit kinda social media.
But I like to think that developers are working on that.
Oooh free work if you want to help the people encourage there posts
