The Best Girl - Doki Doki Literature Club

Thought I'd put this on here since the FB group seems to like it. I'm having some good conversations about the game.

I want to share my thoughts of the game in a separate post, but I'll share my journey from Yuri to Natsuki for "best girl" here.

When choosing words for your first poem, I chose the words I liked to most to see who I ended up matching with. It was Yuri and it wasn't a surprise. We're very much alike. However, I didn't like how shy she was. It was to the point where she couldn't form a sentence and was constantly indecisive.

The second poem I chose to go for Natsuki because in real life I would try different styles of poems before landing on one to focus on. Also, Natsuki didn't appreciate a "Yuri" poem so I wanted to write a poem she would appreciate. It would make it easier to for a new guy to get along with an older member of the club.

I won't spoil what happens in the game, but I ended up really liking Monika in the end. I chose Natsuki for this picture because she's just so cute!

I'd love to converse about the game with any of you steemians out there. If you haven't played, it's free on steam and it's great! I can't remember the last time I was this emotionally impacted by a video game. It's been weeks and I'm still thinking about what takes place.
