The 2017 battle of the Nations took place April 29- May 1 in the city of Barcelona Spain. I had the privilege to fight for Team USA in the 21 verses 21 category. This type of combat is not a boffer larp. We use real, but blunted weapons and the goal is to take your opponent to the ground. Battle of the Nations is the hardest fought armored combat in the world and has been called Armored MMA. I wanted to introduce this sport to the Steemit community as I will be blogging extensively on this type of Martial art and my journey from couch potato to fighting in a world championship sporting event.
