Three words I live by are “engage, educate, and dominate,” and that goes way beyond entrepreneurial business practices. If you want to experience maximum business growth, there are plenty of steps you can take, aside from working with me. I’m always looking to continue my own growth and education, to enhance my life as a whole. Reading is crucial for self improvement, but it can be tough for busy entrepreneurs to find time to sit down with a book. That’s why I’ve become a huge fan of audio books. Audio books are great for the busy entrepreneur on the go, who still want to grow and learn. You can listen to them during your commute, while you’re at the gym, or while you’re doing things around your house like making dinner or cleaning up. All entrepreneurs know that multitasking and making the most of your time is key. That’s why I’ve found that audio books are a game changer when it comes to self improvement. Here are four audio books that have enhanced my life.

1. How to Win Friends and Influence People

This book has been a must-read for decades, and it’s no wonder why. This classic by Dale Carnegie is a code book for success. It lays out tested techniques to make people like you, to win people over to your way of thinking, and to change people’s opinions without having them resent you. The techniques are simple and make sense. Most people who finally pick this one up wish they had done it sooner. This book is crucial for any entrepreneur who wants to learn how to transform a social situation, and the audio book is no different.

2. Business Adventures: Twelve Classic Tales from the World of Wall Street

Bill Gates says this is one of the best business books he’s ever read, and I don’t know about you, but I trust the guy. Not only that, but he says Warren Buffett lent it to him. John Brooks, a contributor to the New Yorker, is actually a collection of Wall Street dramas and adventures. It includes scandals and disasters involving Ford Motor Company, Xerox, General Electric, and Texas Gulf Sulphur. Defining moments shaped these companies, and every entrepreneur should know these storied tales.

3. Think and Grow Rich

This audio book version of the classic by Napoleon Hill lays out the “13 Steps to Riches,” which can truly help anybody achieve their goals. Hill took 20 years to interview more than 500 people, including Ford, Rockefeller, Edison, and three United States presidents. It can help you think and work in a way that maximizes your wealth, but also find success in many other areas of your life.

4. The $100 Startup: Reinvent the Way You Make a Living, Do What You Love, and Create a New Future

It doesn’t take a fortune to create a successful business. In fact, most entrepreneurs know what it’s like to start something out of very little, or next-to-nothing. This book by Chris Guillebeau dives into the lives of people who have built up substantial businesses from modest investments. If you want inspiration to finding financial freedom, or how to monetize your passion, this one is a must-listen. It talks in specific dollar sums, and breaks down how exactly these average people turned their seemingly-average passion into a career.
