6 Simple Strategies For Landing High-Ticket Clients In 2020

High-ticket clients were a complete game-changer for me. When I shifted the focus of my personal business to landing high-ticket clients, I realized I had essentially won the lottery.

These were the clients who were going to give me that insane passive income I dreamt about, and make a lot of my bigger goals possible. The only trick I still needed to learn? How to consistently land them again and again.

Think about it: if you’re charging $100 for a service or a product, you’ll need to sell that 10,000 times in order to make a million dollars. Yep, 10,000 times.

On the other hand, if you’re selling a service or a product for $1,000, you’ll only need to sell it 1,000 in order to hit that first million. That is a huge difference, and really what separates the actual millionaires from the dreamers.

So, how do you land those high-ticket clients, time and time again? I’ve focused my entire career on learning the tricks of the trade, and teaching you to do the same. Here are six of my simple strategies for landing high-ticket clients in 2020.

1. Know your worth

This is a huge pushback I get from a lot of the people I work with. They feel uncomfortable charging high prices, or if they try to charge a high price and the client balks, they’ll quickly lower their price. I don’t recommend doing this.

I do recommend making sure you have a product or service which is worth a high-ticket price, because then you’ll feel good about charging those prices for it. But you have to keep in mind, people are spending their money on all sorts of ridiculous things.

If they can buy a new phone for $1,000, they can invest that money in themselves. But you have to know your worth and believe in your pricing, or else no one will.

2. Create a network

Many entrepreneurs want to fly strictly solo, which I get. But creating a network of people in adjacent industries can help you in many ways, and can even help you land high-ticket clients.

Here’s the example: a customer comes your way, and wants a service you don’t provide. Instead of casting them aside, you connect them to someone in your network who does provide that service.

That professional keeps you in mind, and is all too happy to return the favor. Keep your competition close, and they may just start sending customers your way.

3. Market to the right audience

You could be selling the best thing on earth, but if you’re selling to the wrong people, you’ll never have a chance at landing any clients, not just high-ticket clients. You need to make sure your digital marketing strategy is tight, and that you’re marketing to the right people, who will actually dig into their wallets for what you have to offer.

4. Create an expert persona

People are willing to pay top-dollar for something that they feel comes from a person who is an expert in their field, so it’s important you at the very least appear to be an expert. Invest in a personal website, brand your social media channels so they’re relevant to your work.

If someone Googles you, what comes up? It should be content related to you being an expert in your field, in order to land those high-ticket clients.

5. Make contact in a human way

No one wants to be sold to. So in order to land high-ticket clients, it’s important to follow through the sales funnel, but in a very human way. Try to schedule a video chat call, to see your prospective clients face-to-face, and show them you’re willing to put in the time, and that it’s personal.

If you can’t do that, send them recorded voice notes on social media or through text message. These little touches will make it feel less sales-like, and much more personal.

6. Share success and testimonials

When people are shelling out big bucks, they want to make sure they’re getting their moneys worth. In order to convince them you’re worth a high-ticket price, make sure you share stories of success and client testimonials.

People want a guarantee that you’re going to deliver on your promises. While it may be tough to promise the specific results they want, by sharing success and testimonials, they can feel confident about your past work, and much more willing to take a chance on you.
