This is the first part of Inbound marketing blog, this will help you understand how marketing guys are using this methodology to convince you to buy something and then to recommend that service to your friends.

So lets begin.
'Inbound marketing' stand on four pillars.

What does all this mean?
That business usually use Social media, Blogs, and content to attract people.

Imagine a 'youtuber Jon'.
Jon has a YouTube channel about photography, he does tutorial videos on 'how to make your photo great with PhotoShop'.
He attracts people, who are new to photoshop and photo manipulations and builds community by getting views on his blog, people also subscribe to him, because of his content pretty much good.

Also, Jon is smart and after every video, he puts a link to his blog, where he usually write the same topic as he creates videos.
You then go to his blog and subscribe your email for his newsletter, to get even more content.

Jon love emails, he sends you his educational content every week. And after few weeks he starts to offer you his video course "Everything you need to know about PhotoShop (become a master)" for 49$.

You buy it, because you trust Jon, you were watching his videos all the time, you got a lot of new knowledge from it and you feel in dept for him usually for that much of free content.

Now you start making good photo manipulations on PhotoShop and start putting your photos to Facebook, your friends tell you that those are "dope" and ask how you learned all that stuff?
"What will be your answer?"
'Watch it on YouTube, there is one guy Jon, makes good videos about it.'

That is how Inbound marketing works on you guys.
