Market Friday and Pumpkins and Gourds and Indian Corn...Oh, my!
Today is #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle (Denise, that's me!!)
I hope you will join me as we share different markets across the globe. Every week, I look forward to seeing what you will send me and I am always happy to see so many from all over the world.
On to #Market Friday, but, first we must have a flower. Always a flower!
Effortless in nature
Simple beauty just takes my breath away
Wrapped up in loveliness, a random "color someone a beautiful day" today.
Who doesn't love to see what they will be selling in some foreign market, shopping in places I have never been to and some, never even heard of. There is always a curiosity attached to foreign ingredients, different produce or any product sold. So, yes! I would love to see yours! Don't forget to take photos wherever you happen to be shopping - whether it be the grocery, art galleries, wherever money is exchanged for a service or for merchandise. Don't forget to use the hashtag #MarketFriday and @dswigle.
Please leave the link to your post on here so it can easily be found by others. They will all be in one place. Where else can you take such a quick trip around the globe? Thank you! ❤
We are going to shop at the local pumpkin palace! It's a pumpkin extravaganza this week! Halloween is just around the corner, so let's get out and see what we need to make this house rock!! I don't do real spooky, well except for a few bats that fly around the door. I never want those little kids to have nightmares. They actually love them! Are you ready?? Let's see what they have! Oh, my! Miles of pumpkins!
Indian corn! Who could ever forget those multicolored pieces of corn? No two alike! It was a part of my growing up. When I saw it, I knew it was time for Autumn. My mother always hung it on the door to our house.
It is one of the oldest types of corn and rumor has it that Native Americans taught the colonist how to grow it. So we can thank them. For so many things.
Add a touch more Autumn to your house with the added color of Chrysanthemums. Truly the scent of Autumn! I had no idea that they were actually native to Asia and Northeastern Europe.
You just never know who you'll see when you are going through a pumpkin patch. This could possibly be a friend of @luigi-the-gnome! I wonder if they know each other and speak the same language?
Can someone please tell me what is going on with the white pumpkins this year?? I have always seen them, but, more of an oddity or something special, but this year? They are all over the place. Tell me, tell me, tell me, do!
Pick two. You know you just can't have one. And they make the very best pie. Oh, my goodness! Pumpkin pie and whipped cream. Pumpkin bread. Pumpkin pudding. Oh! I must stop. Pick two. You know you want to. :)
Gourds are purely ornamental. They are not edible and their shell is hard and their interior is basically empty. The make a festive collection put together. I love the different kinds there are. I am not sure how many varieties they actually have. The more artistic people hollow them out and shells and pieces of metal can be used to make them into musical instruments. They can be burned, carved and made into pieces of jewelry. Or do what I do. Just decorate with them.
So, take your pick. Gourd, pumpkin, corn, flowers... you can have what you desire. What is it you truly desire?
Tiny little painted houses sit on my windowsill. I probably have a dozen of them and they depict different holidays and events in my life. Happy Halloween! Boooooooo!
Let the sun shine in on your life
So the joy may touch your soul
Pure. Joy. Affection. Caring. Sharing. Inspiring. Sweetness. Warm. Tenderness. Fun. The eternal love of a mother. My heart feels wrapped in love and tied with a bow of hugs. Just for today...

Don't ever forget what a wonderful world we live in, people. Let's hold hands around the globe and make this earth really spin. Some days, it is not as easy to see, so we must try harder to give everyone the proper focus.

This was a marveloues post! So many pretty photos of flowers and pumpkins and gourds, all fantastically done. I sure remember headless. That was a fun time last year! Good to see she is back again. I just hope she never forgets her head anywhere! I know a certain zombie that would be a good match for her LOL
Oh, yes! Headless is quite the star, isn't she? She makes headlines wherever she goes. I just love all the different gourds they have. There is certainly no shortage of varieties.
Thank you for the words and unfortunately, headless isn't into zombies. That is soooo yesteryear.
Tip!
Aww he is so broken heartened. Well he enjoyed it while it lasted. Who knows, there is always next year...
Truth! Zombies may be the new rock star!
He can only hope so..

In autumn, I am overcome by nostalgia and moments of wonderful memories. After many years in the US, pumpkins will remain part of the autumn. When I see them, I feel that I am returning to a small town in the suburbs, where I experienced wonderful moments.
I greet you
Have a wonderful Sunday :)
Thank you! I do understand your feelings. There are so many of those feelings I have for different parts of Europe when I lived there. That part of my life has moved forward, but, the memories. Oh, they will live forever.
I am so glad you had some wonderful experiences here. I is with total honesty that I can say that I have never lived anywhere that I didn't love. There is always something.
I hope you are doing well as your travel the world over. I have no idea where you will land, but, I have a feeling it will be wonderful. You two have a way of making life beautiful.
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Oh, I am so happy to see you made it! I have always loved those painted pumpkins and used to let the kids get one when they were babies. The only place that had them at the time was Long Island. Now they seem to be very popular all over and I still love them!
I will be moseying through your post and seeing what your awesome farm store has to offer! Aren't those things just filled with the best stuff?
Thank you for dropping the link and participating in the #MarketFriday Challenge!
Tip!
I think the painted ones are adorable! Not to mention they last way longer than carved!
And then there is that perfect pumpkin pie afterward! Or pumpkin bread! Oh, my!!

Halloween has always been a big thing in the US and there are certainly lots of pumpkins to go around very colorful post love them photos. Funny thing you wouldn't think so but the Thai's actually enjoy Halloween and do go out all the way with dressing up for the occasion.
Happy Halloween my friend enjoy and scare as many people as you can...hehe :)

Now, that does surprise me! I had no idea that they dressed up or celebrated in any way. I actually thought it was a very American holiday and wasn't celebrated anywhere else. So thank you for that and I look forward to see if you capture any ghosts or goblins on Halloween night! Do they go door to door trick or treating? People usually give them candy or an apple for the treat of seeing them dressed up. :) Either way, it is a fun holiday for the kids.
Headless will try to keep under control! LOL Thank you again for your encouragement and engagement in the tag!
Tip!
Yeah i was surprised that they do get into the Halloween atmosphere they really enjoy dressing up and putting make- up with scary faces i am not sure they do the door to door trick and treat thing but the younger girls and boys love getting scary make- up put on them.
I will try and get out that night and do some photography i haven't been around for it the last couple of years i had other commitments.
And thanks again for your tip and keep your head on ...haha :)
Hehehe! I'll try! Thank you! You know that Denise Antoinette always loses her head! LOL
You are a worry ...lol :)

Quite a festival of pumpkins, I really love the photo with a path of pumpkins, and that multi coloured corn is amazing.
I finally managed to do a little Market Friday post for you.

Oh, yay! A #MarketFriday from the BrewMeister! Thank you for dropping the link and for taking the time out of your day. I know how precious your moments are!
I do love the pumpkins, it is like pumpkin overload here! The Indian Corn is an oddity that I thought everyone had, now I know that is not the truth. It is very traditional here for the Autumn season decorations. Off to check your post! Thank you! :)

I love your pumpkin market. Fall can’t help but be beautiful. Orange leaves and pumpkins against a deep blue sky get me EVERY time. 😍
Also.... YOUR HEADLESS HUMAN COSTUME!!! super clever. Or as one should say on Halloween... super cleaver. 😄
Thank you for finding and visiting my post. I am sporadic with #marketfriday so always forget the part where we leave our posts here.
Happy Sunday! Happy early Halloween!
