Hello folks, @bigpchef here with you on this glorious Thursday. The Astros playoffs start today, so it's a baseball and beer kinda afternoon...however, my beer today will be in the form of a super heady sativa dab.

On deck today is Big Sur Holy Weed live resin sugar from Utopia Farms. Utopia Farms is a small craft vendor located in Santa Cruz, CA that supplies top quality concentrates to dispensaries throughout California. I have an affinity to their sugars; have always found them to be well made, good tasting, and lab tested.

Today's Pleasure

Big Sur Holy Weed live resin sugar...a mouthful huh?! Well the product name is Big Sur Holy Weed, and the product type is live resin sugar. For those of you who are not involved as deeply as I am with cannabis culture, i'll give you a super quick run down on what live resin sugar is. Most concentrates are made with dry/cured flowers or buds...and those are not considered live resin. The "live" makes it's entrance when cultivators turn fresh flowers or buds into a concentrate...hence, giving it the "live" nomenclature. As for the "sugar", that is just the consistency of the concentrate. In the pictures below, you will see the texture resemble sugar rocks.

Big Sur tested at 96% THC - a lovely high percentage that true stoners look for, and at only $40 for the half gram, it's not too shabs. The sugar does not have a very high terpene profile (flavors) unfortunately, but still tasted decent, and has a nice sweet, piney aroma to it. Teh feels I got from the Big Sur is exactly what I was in need for. A daytime, energetic head buzz. No grogginess is the key.
