Under Pennsylvania and federal law, Schedule I substances are defined as having a high potential for abuse and no accepted medical use.

Now that Pennsylvania has joined 24 other states with legal medical marijuana programs, Pittsburgh criminal defense attorney and activist Patrick K. Nightingale says marijuana’s classification as a Schedule I drug is no longer constitutional.
