SLC26-W2 | Churros
Welcome to the week2 of season 26 learning challenge here is my assignment post to week2.
Make your own churros (include ingredients, quantities and step by step instructions) with my recipe or any other of your choice.
Ingredients
butter | 3 teaspoon |
---|---|
Vanilla essence | half teaspoon |
Sugar | 1 teaspoon |
Egg | 1 |
Salt | half teaspoon |
All purpose flour | 1 cup |
In a pog I added sugar, vanilla essence, butter and salt I added a cup of water and heat for a little while till it dissolved.
After dissolving my dry ingredients with butter and water I added flour and knead on a very low heat till it was well combined then i turned off the heat.I added egg to the dough and knead again till well combined.
In a hot pan i poured in some oil and started frying my dough, I used a carved bottle cover and a design water proof i wasn't so fast so to avoid burning i fried in batches till i was done with all.
Lastly my delicious churros was ready and was paired with a bechamel sauce that is made with butter, flour and milk.
When you tried the churros, what was your experience like? Did you like them? Explain your answer in detail.
Every step of the process was filled with anticipation at first i feared my dough might be lumpy and it didn't turn out to be so i was glad after kneading the dough with the egg which was the part i was so. Nervous about because i all my life I have only added egg to a powdered flour but this time was different it had to be a dough i was so focused and ready to archive and when i did i was so overjoyed.
I didn't add chocolate cinnamon to my churros due to the fact that i do not like the flavor at all so instead i added a bit of sugar and a little chocolate powder and i loved them that way my churros was One of the best fries i have ever made my daughter loved it so mush.
3 - Is there a stand or business in your city that sells churros? Tell us.
Not at all i have never seen one this was the first time of making and eating churros, although we have similar fries but it definitely not churros.
4 - What type of dough would you like to learn for our challenge #3?
Thank you maam @nehela for this privilege, i would love to see the process on how sharwama bread is been done reason i would love to know is to make mine at home sometime as it has become so expensive and mostly out of stock.
