Hello everyone. Complete Newbie making my first post from the UK.

Hi everybody. I'm brand new to Steemit and haven't got a clue what I'm doing; however, I'm sure I'll enjoy the learning curve.
I'm a 52 year old grandmother from a small town, just outside Manchester in the UK.
I found out about Steemit from YouTube and was so intrigued, I just HAD to sign up.
We live in interesting times and for several years now, I've developed a growing mistrust of Mainstream Media, so searched for my information from alternative sources and boy, what an eye-opener that's been!
I'm passionate about a wide range of subjects from scientific discoveries, spirituality, political debate and world affairs, although, by no means an expert on any of them.
I looking forward to meeting new friends and sharing ideas in this community and wish you all the joy of the season.
