Why since am start in steemit I didn't earn above of 100$?

Hi ,my name is Emmanuel maliselo ,am African men from east Africa (Tanzania),I would like to ask my dear steemian why since am start, steemit, I didn't earn above 100$,
Please help me your good strategies if you have it.
