Tips for honeymoon in Maldives for budget and limited days, and to enjoy the beautiful places....

in #maldives7 years ago

You fly to Maldives and you land at the airport to find out you are surrounded by water. It's literally like landing on a patch of land between the sea.

The water around is beautiful, and you just fall in love with it.

Tip# 1:
The airport is in Hulumale, and it is best to book a room in Hulumale or Male since the ferry has fixed timings to go to certain islands, and if the time of flight does not coincides with the time of ferry, you would miss the ferry and would have no place to stay.

Tip# 2:
Hulumale is a quiet place with less to do, and with less people. If you want to just relax, and not up for shopping or roaming around much, this is the place for spending a day before you go to any island. If you want to roam around and see the busy city, then you should visit Male.

Tip# 3:
If you plan to spend the day in Male and are on a budget, it's best you take the bus to Hulumale, and take the ferry from the ferry terminal to Male. If not, then you can take a boat directly from the airport to Male.

Tip # 4:
You would find a lot of private jets and boats taking you to different islands, but one of the beautiful, peaceful and affordable island is Maafushi Island, where you can go from Male by taking a public ferry at very affordable rates from Villingili ferry terminal in Male.

Tip# 5:
While travelling from ferry, it's best to check the ferry schedule and dates in advance, so you can plan for your travels accordingly. Ferry usually does not operate on Fridays as it is a holiday in Maldives.

Tip # 6 :
While you reach at Maafushi Island, it is best to check hotel prices, and negotiate the best offer. Better stay at one hotel and negotiate a discount.

Tip # 7:
Almost all hotels offer recreational trips to multiple places, and it is best to compare the prices first before you finalize a trip.

Tip # 8:
If you visit a resort, it's better to not do paid activities over there as they are very expensive, and they can be done on the island at a much cheaper price.

Below are some pictures and video of places I have visited in Maldives, along with activities done there, including snorkelling, sand bank visit, visit to Centara Ras Fushi Resort,
