Hello Steemit friends! It is another week with an interesting course. All thanks to @almacaridad.
For this week's lesson, we have to implement all that we have learnt. Let's dive in.

Show step by step the shading on your eyes using the “Cut Crease” technique; tell us if you have done it before and if the process was difficult for you.

Natural face

I started with my brows. I outlined only the lower part of the brows to give it a natural look. I then shaded the brows with my eye pencil.

I applied nude concealer on my eyelids in place of the eye primer with a cat's tongue brush.

I moved on to apply a matte colour - I used purple shade. I applied it to the entire eyelids.

Next was to apply the 'cut-crease' technique using a concealer. I have heard of it before, but I did not really know what it entailed. This was my first time trying this technique. It was not too difficult for me. The only challenge was to ensure that the arc on the crease is perfect. I did it to the best of my ability.

I applied a lighter shade to the cut that contrasts the purple shade and blended both shades with my eyeshadow brush.

To finish my eye makeup, I applied mascara and lined my eyes.

Finish your makeup by adding everything seen previously in class, such as applying foundation, lipstick, contouring, and correcting imperfections; the main objective of this assessment is to achieve smooth, shine-free skin.

After ensuring my skin is clean and primed, I applied foundation and used my beauty blender to blend it in. I ensured that the foundation covered everywhere on my face.

I moved on to highlight and contour my face and blend evenly.

I moved to my lips. I outlined my lips and used a light shade of gloss lipstick because it suits my lip type.

Finally, I sealed my makeup with compact powder to enable it last long. I added setting spray to make it last long.

Find out what are the recommendations for a makeup that lasts even on hot days or when you do a lot of physical activity; also, the function that loose powder has to give a better finish to our skin.

It would be very frustrating to see our perfectly applied makeup fade away right in the middle of day. So we need to use products that makes makeup last longer.

Using a good setting spray is a good start. It will help prolong the life of our makeup. It also prevents smudging.

Skin preparation is also helpful. If the skin is not properly prepped, the best products would not last all day. We could use ultra- hydrating products like moisturizer and exfoliants.

Primer is key to having a long lasting makeup. It acts as a barrier between the skin and the makeup, ensure a smooth application surface. It also helps to control oil.

Apply a good setting powder. Setting powder absorbs oil and ensures a matte finish.

Above all, use good and quality products. The quality and durability of your makeup depends on the type of products used.

Function of Loose Powder
Loose powder is used for setting the face. It is used to minimise unwanted shine, to blur imperfections and gives the skin a smooth, matte finish.
