Hi Friends!

It's a pleasure to be part of this week's challenge; through this course, I've come to learn that when it comes to makeup, well-defined eyebrows, and beautifully colored lips can give us a stunning look. Our eyebrows frame our faces, and applying the right color to our lips will enhance our natural beauty. Today, I've learned the tricks to achieve a perfect brow shape and beautiful lip color to have a balanced and stunning makeup look.

Identify your eyebrow type and apply makeup according to its shape, creating a gradient at the beginning of them. Also, show and explain if you used shadows, pomades, or any of the existing products to apply makeup

Thanks @almacaridad dear, I was able to identify my eyebrow type through this course, yes I have a soft angle brow. This is how I got to know. I used my eye pencil to measure it, the first point was from the side of my nose to the tear dot of my eyes.

The second point was the highest area and I measured from the lowest point of my nose to the highest area and I cross the iris of my eye.

Then lastly, I measured from I measured from my nose side to the end of my eyes, and this is where my eyebrow will stop.

Knowing my eyebrow type really help me to know how I will draw it, so I grab the needed tools for eyebrow and lips which are:

  • Eyebrow brush

  • Eyeshadow.

  • concealer.

  • Lip stick and gloss

  • filler brush

  • I first of all clean my face, and apply foundation, then I brush my eyebrow and line it lightly first.

  • Next I apply eyeshadow and continue brushing it to blend well.

  • And lastly, I used concealer to hid edges I don't need.

For my eyebrow, I used my eyeshadow and eye pencil to make it. I was satisfied with the result I got. What do you think?

Shows the before, during, and after of your lip makeup; performing the process of outlining them to perfect their shape. In addition, it investigates and explains what your lip type is and what is the correct way to make up and outline them, whether they are droopy, thin, thick, or asymmetrical, among others.

I have round lips; my lips are full in the center and round, my cupid's bow is well defined, and my bottom lip is plump.

  • For my kind of lip, I choose a lip liner that is a bit darker than my lipstick, and I outline my lips to enhance their shape. I focused on accentuating my Cupid's bow and defining the center of my lips.
  • Next, I apply my desired matte lipstick in a natural shade, applying it from the center of my lips outward.

  • Then I apply a highlighter on my Cupid's bow this gives me a fuller lip vibe. Then I apply lip gloss and it makes my lips plumper.

  • I stick close to my natural lip line to avoid overlining.

Using this technique has helped me to create a stunning and full lip.

After a while, our makeup products may expire or become unfit for use; research and explain what characteristics to take into account to know when we should throw away these products to avoid future consequences.

It's very important that we know when to throw our makeup products away to maintain our skin health and avoid undesirable reactions. Here are some characteristics we should be on the lookout for:

(1) Expiration Dates

  • We should always check the expiry date on our makeup products because many of them have printed expiration date on them, or the number of months it will last after opening.

  • Generally, liquid foundations usually last 6-12 months, while powders can last up to 3 years; we should adhere to these timelines.

(2) Changes in Texture or Consistency:

  • Product, like foundation or concealer, will start to separate into layers this shows that it may no longer be effective again.

  • If products like mascara or liquid eyeliner become clumpy or thick, it's a sign that it is not good again and should be discarded because they are prone to harbor bacteria.

(3) Changes in Color

  • a change in product color is an indication that it shouldn't be used again.

(4) Odor Changes

  • If a product has a bad smell, it shows that it's time to toss it because it starts to develop bacteria, that's the reason for the unusual smell.

(5) Irritation or Allergic Reactions

  • Skin Reactions: If your skin reacts to a particular makeup product, maybe you start having rashes. It shows that it's time to get rid of it.

(6) Packaging Integrity

  • Damaged Containers: If the product container or bottle breaks, is cracked, or is not properly sealed, it shows that the content may be compromised, so dispose of it.

(7) Application Changes

  • If you have difficulty in applying the products, maybe you can't apply them evenly and smoothly again; it means it has gone bad. For example, if an eyeshadow becomes chalky or streaky, it's time to kiss it goodbye.

(8) Specific Product Lifespans:

  • Some products have a specific lifespan. An example is mascara, which lasts 3-6 months because our eyes are sensitive and there's a tendency for bacteria.

  • Lipsticks and gloss: normally last 1-2 years, then one needs to watch out for bad smell and wearability.

  • Cream Products like blush or highlighters Usually last about 1-2 years. But then we have to discard them if they dry out.

It's good we regularly assess our makeup collection based on the above characteristics as it will help to maintain a healthy skincare routine and avoid any potential issues. We should also clean our makeup bags periodically and replace any expired products.

¡Hola!
