SLC S21W1 | Cleaning, face types and implements necessary to perform good makeup.

Hello Steemit friends! I am thrilled to participate in this exciting season of Steemit learning challenge. Makeup is a very essential skill for ladies. Thank you @almacaridad for this course.

Based on what was established in the previous module, analyze what type of skin you have, how you should care for it, and what type of products you should use for that type of skin.

I have a normal skin type so it does not require any special product. That does not stop me from caring for my skin.

First off, I cleanse my skin twice a day with a body wash to keep it moisturized and healthy.

Then, I use a moisturizer to seal in the natural moisture in my skin and protect my skin. I also use coconut oil as a natural skincare to make my skin smooth.

I also try as much as possible to avoid exposing my skin to excessive sunlight which could result to sun burns and dark spots.

Additionally, I use honey as a natural facemask in the evening before I have my bath.

Show us a personal photo, in which you must explain the shape of your face and also tell us how you should contour and highlight according to your specific shape. (This answer must be purely explanatory).

I have an oval shaped face.

First, I would do a skin preparation. I would use a face wipe to clean my face. I would then use a primer to remove oil from my face and to ensure that the make up to be applied would be in place.

Then, I will apply a foundation that suits my skin tone and blend it evenly with a beauty blender.

I would then move to highlight my face. The following areas would be highlighted: my two under eye, the middle of my nose to make it pointed, my forehead and my chin.

I would proceed to contour my face. Since, I have an oval shaped face, I do not need much contouring as my face appears to be well-balanced. I would contour under my cheekbones and the sides of my nose.

According to the implements needed to achieve good makeup, which ones did you know before and which ones do you use frequently; did you use them correctly? Which ones do you think are really essential when applying makeup? Explain your answer.

As a makeup trainee, I have been exposed to a few implements. Which are :

• Blending Sponge (Beauty Blender)
• Rounded Cut Brush (Powder Brush)
• Beveled Cut Brush (Contouring Brush)
• Cat's Tongue Brush (Concealer Brush)
• Eyelash Brush
• Eye brow Brush
• Foundation Brush
• Eye shadow Brush (Shader Brush)

I frequently use ;

beauty blender

To blend liquid products like foundation

powder brush

To apply powder and set the makeup. Application of powder is usually the last thing I do during makeup.

concealer brush

To distribute concealer evenly.

dual-ended eye brow brush

I use the brush end to brush and blend eye brow hairs and the comb end to shape and separate the eye brow.

eyelash brush

I use it to brush the eyelashes to prevent clumps and ensure a smooth mascara application.

I think I have been using the implements correctly. However, I can be corrected.

I think the essential implements for makeup is the beauty blender, powder brush, concealer brush and eye lash brush.

As explained in the previous module, if you need to apply concealer (a liquid or cream product) to correct an imperfection, which of the implements do you think you could use for its application and which one for its blending. Explain your answer.

The concealer brush is the most appropriate implement and the beauty blender is perfect for blending.
