You are intelligent even if your IQ test doesn't say so - Steemit is your chance to shine
It seems like the meaning or the definition of the word 'intelligence' became a product of our previous emphasis on the IQ test. But if you look it up in the dictionary it might surprise you to know what the original definition of the word means:
We may not possess the ability to acquire or apply every type of knowledge and skill, but we all have the ability to acquire and apply at least one type of knowledge and skill - therefore we are all intelligent, and most of us are probably intelligent in different ways.
Rather than trying to write something that doesn't showcase your intelligence (i.e. write something because you think it will result in a bigger payout), I would implore all Steemians (especially the new ones) to help make this community a unique place where everyone has the chance to succeed and shine.
The more can harness the collective intelligence of this community the more chance we have of creating a place that allows people to teach and learn, so let's all become more intelligent every time we interact with other Steemians by sharing something that is unique to your intellectual abilities!
Whether it is a post about what you have learnt on steemit, what you did when you went out in the real world and met with other steemians, or just something that you wanted to create for steemit only because there is a truly appreciative audience for it. If you think the post only has value for 7 days, you haven't seen the competitions that recognize people who write great posts but didn't attract the attention of lots of people, nor have you seen the contests asking people to find great content that are a little bit old but still very useful - so you can still be paid for something you have written a long time ago!
Whether I am reading a post about Polish architecture or someone's experience working in a call centre in a developing country, I see the wisdom and knowledge encapsulated in that post (and the comments) as well as the conversations that continue on in Discord. You have something to contribute to this community in so many more ways than you think, so don't think the only value on this platform is just about history or science or literature.
There is so much wisdom in the details of everyday life if only you care to bring it out. All you need to do is start looking and thinking about it a little bit deeper.
love your message here! It reminded me of this:
Couldn't have put it better myself! Maybe we need a blockchain based education system so that we can learn and teach from the person who is best to unlock our intelligence...
that would be so cool! like a mentoring program or something. I love learning lol I feel like if every person could find their niche, dream, inner self and cultivate it the world would really change for the better :)
i'm totally agree with you. wich make steemit more interesing is that you can shine for doing what you love with love. i apreciate this words so i reesteem :)
Thanks. I can't understand Spanish very well so unfortunately I can't read most of your posts... but it looks like you have some wonderful illustrations on the introduceyourself post and if so then you are certainly very talented in this area :)
thank you so much :') i try my best. greetings!
nice post..trully steemit is a good platform to learn,,,nice post i must say
You must also have a lot of knowledge and experience as a business administrator. I wonder what type of posts you will be writing for the people on steemit to share your wisdom :)
aww,,,thats nice,,,i should start posting soon,,but i must say am glad am on here,,so many nice posts on here,,i learn daily
A heart felt post expressing a sentiment that totally resonates with me and I imagine most people here. Good to spell it out now and then and to highlight the idea of recycling 'old gold'.
Thank you for the kind comment. I don't know how many times people say that they are 'not smart' because they didn't do well in one test or another. Intelligence is so much more than what can be defined in a test. I have seen so many people provide wisdom in so many different ways here. Would love to see more of your work here too :)
Decided to find my way around for a few weeks before making an introductory post. Should hopefully feel ready in the next week or so. I don't think I will be a frequent blogger, more into the listening and responding, but who knows! Cheers.
