Yeah, the poor kid's got no chance! That's what happens though, then we have to spend many years trying to sort it all out (not necessarily the 'fool' part but certainly imposed beliefs). Fortunately, as adults, we have the opportunity to figure it all out and act accordingly. We need to develop a strong self-awareness, in addition to a wider awareness and we can see things as they are… then it's showtime!
