Old Bark • Macro Photography
We experienced a brutal Nor’easter today. That term actually sounds tame but it has nothing to do with bunnies and eggs. Its a winter storm that whips around and down from the Atlantic and hits you like a right hook to the jaw. The bark photo is from a local tree which is hundreds of years old. That battered old skin has been right here all these years battling storms and this gives me confidence.
A hug for the tree that gives us faith that we will endure.
Thanks for the art @overkillcoin... minnows, dolphins, whales... I’m down with squid!
Nice source for inspiration. They just quietly endure so much. I wonder how old is some of the really old trees.
They are gentle giants!
Do you have a favourite tree? Mine would have to be a cashew tree. I used to climb trees when I was younger (was a little tomboy) and that was my favourite one to climb.
I love California redwood trees... they are the tallest trees in our solar system!
That's a very interesting fact. Nice to know.
Trees also prevent from flooding
Indeed, that tree deserves a hug for being strong all this years. Still it was able to stand despite of all the storms it done through.
