Crazy fun night with old friend : hang out and enjoy #MacDemarcoinBkk

No sleeping for 24 hours and hanging out with a 18 year old friendship.
It was in August. I went to Mac Demarco’s concert that made me extremely excited. I have been waiting for him to come to Thailand and this time it had some thing special to me. The one who went there with me was my friend who I knew since I was about 4 years old. That means we are already know each other for 18 years. We studied in the same class for 9 years and studied in the same school but not in the same class for 6 years. I think this is amazing that we still keep in touch until nowadays, we’re 21 years old.
She is my friend almost all my entire life. Her name is Au, our parents know each other too and I think that it was a great chance to go to the gig together after we talked about going somewhere together many times but hadn’t done it yet. The last time that we were hanging out was last year so I was excited to hang out with her again.
After I finished afternoon class I went back home immediately to prepare myself and go to Voice Space where the gig was held. Au arrived there a bit late but I didn’t mind. When we first saw each other after haven’t met for year it was just like we wanted to scream with excitement and laugh.

After that, we talked over a lot of things like there were many many stories to share then I realized that the front row would be already full of people (and I want to be in the front row too) so we walked into the hall about 9 pm and luckily not many people were there yet. The show started at 10.30 me and Au talked more until it’s about 10.20. We turned our head, looked back and found out that ‘oh my god we’re quite lucky!’

There were many people who came later and we were so close to the stage but I couldn’t stand with those two foreign guys in front of us. They were too tall and blocked our view then we moved and we stopped at the second line behind the front row but there was still a girl who was taller than me and my friend. Anyway it wasn’t bad. I could see Mac, Jon(the bassist) and Joe (drummer) cleary but can’t really see Andy(guitarist) and Alec (Keyboard).

I really enjoy their performance. Mac and his friends were crazier than I expected. Each person in the band has a specific character and my most favorite is Not Moving Bassist..Jon Lent! hahaha he stayed still all the time while they were playing on the stage. Before I went to see them I have heard that their show always ‘expected unexpected’ yes..it’s true 😂 It was just like we couldn’t expected what would they do next such as Mac did a handstand,played RHCP, Eric Clapton,Black Sabbath songs. By the way it was so great and it fulfilled my heart. I felt like they shared their positive and crazy energy with me. And at the end of the show while Mac was walking down the stairs,there were 2 foreign guys standing in front of me again but we all called out then Mac turned his face to us and smiled! Oh my god I was so happy!
And before we left the concert hall ,we accidentally met a singer Phum Viphurit (He’s a big fan of Mac) and Au is a big fan of him. P’Phum remember her (Nowadays they’re already friends )

and it was so great seeing him in person. We took a photo and Au had a small talk with P’Phum and his friend. After that we left and walked to McDonald’s near Voice Space. We agreed that we would be there until the sun rose on next day and bus was available again because cost of a Taxi to get back home is expensive (that’s so crazy) so we spent all night without sleeping there. Au brought her notebook PC to do all her projects but didn’t finish because almost all of time,we spent talking more than working hahaha.

There were funny and sad stories we talked but mostly funny. I laughed so loud without caring about anyone around us (because there is no one there only me,Au and Mc’s staffs) I can’t remember the last time I laughed loud like this. Au is my craziest friend. Her action and words always make me laugh. All night passed without boring. Until it’s 6 am we thought that it’s time to leave. Then we left Mc’s and took a bus go to Victory Monument and then back home.

Actually we planned to go to somewhere else because we thought that time we spent went so fast it was like just a few hours but we both were so tired so we went back home.
It was such a crazy fun night both at the concert and hanging out with my old friend already 2 months have passed but the moment is still on my mind.
