My two cents,...

in #m2c7 years ago

Some days I just don't have the energy to pump out good content.

I'm sure, dear reader, that some days I just don't bring my 'A' game.

Perhaps you feel the same.

I propose that we be allowed to resteem our own posts.

Now, without some limits this may get tedious, so I propose restrictions on the free use of the resteem button.

1. No posts newer than 30 days.

2. No posts that have been resteemed in the last 60 days.

3. No more than 3 resteems a week.

4. Each resteem should be given a marking that indicates that it has been resteemed, and it's amount of past payouts.

I would guess that this would have to be changed at the blockchain because each resteem would have to be a 'new' post for payout purposes.

In this way, authors can get compensated for previous content.

No longer will we only be as good as our last post.

If you like this idea, let the devs know, they won't listen to me alone.

Have a perfectly peaceful day!

Interesting. If you have a previous post that was totally awesome and hit it out of the park and you feel needs to be seen again.....

Why not just post again. Take your content into re-release and syndication. Like they do with TV sitcoms and old movies

If your stuff is so good that it will travel like that, why isn't a repost a good idea?

Just keeping us from doing what we want in favor of doing what they want, imo.

Well, you got to bring along the slow kids in the class to get anywhere like consensus, imo.

That is why I simplify, keep working, stop paying, rule by force is the disease, who and how are symptoms.

Maybe if your not inspired resteeming others or just commenting is ok? Thats what I mostly do :)

You are on to something, but...

First we need an actual search and filtering function.

When you go to someone's wall, it should have a list of their most used tags to limit their posts by. Also need to be able to turn on and off resteems by them.

Then we need public and private lists of steemians to follow.
What amounts to a list of favorites.

Also we need a list of favorite tags.

If we got all that, then people could more easily find the gold in our backlog.

But, I do not know if that would work well with your suggestion.

I'm onboard with all that, too bad those that make the place work couldn't care less.

Hell, we can't even embed videos from anywhere but centralized platforms.
That is hinkey to me.

What is hinkey is the way they embed videos. It is a kludge. They have to specifically program for each instance of any they want to include in posts.

They didn't want to go the route of actually working with iframes. Allowing people to use them in their blogs can cause lots of problems. Especially phishing attacks, but instead of do the real programming, they just decided to avoid it all together.

Why would someone do that?
Shouldn't the design have been worked out from the beginning?

Oh, yeah, stinc,...thanks for as little as you can get by with,....!!
That's the breakfast of champions,...
