During the last decade of the 20th century and the beginning of the twenty-first century, the global phenomenon of terrorism has gained increasing attention from both developed and developing countries, due to the negative effects it has on the lives of human societies. The prevalence of this phenomenon has been linked to the development and deepening of events in the political arena, So that the concept of (terrorism) is a close feature of each event, whether planned or otherwise and the general framework governing the various movements of the state and its policies.
There are different explanations and motives that led to the growing phenomenon of terrorism among those who confirm that the cases of competition and international conflict helped to feed and grow the phenomenon of terrorism, and those who claim that terrorism is a natural phenomenon can appear in any society linked to various factors, including the political environment, economic, social and religious and Ideologically, any treatment of an issue related to certain concepts needs to define those concepts through a definition that illustrates their components and characteristics.
Before defining the meaning and concept of terrorism, it should be noted earlier that the word terrorism is originally from the Latin language, as the language dictionaries indicate, which extends into the languages ??and dialects of the Roman groups and later on in other European languages.
These two are terrorism, terrorism and terrorist acts have become commonplace in the literature of international politics.
The problem of defining and classifying definitions is one of the most difficult and complex problems faced by many researchers and those interested in international politics, because of the confusion and overlap of some of the concepts associated with them.
And thus are understood and interpreted from many different perspectives may lead to the lack of a clear picture of the phenomenon of the subject of the study.
On the basis of the above, some definitions can be addressed with regard to the phenomenon of terrorism:
First: The concept of terrorism: Terrorism defines a language as "intimidation and insecurity in its broader sense in order to achieve certain benefits".
International terrorism is defined as "an attack that amounts to a criminal act, but it is the target of this terrorism and its political nature that divides the legal nature of this work between political crime and terrorist crime."
On the other hand, political sociology defines terrorism as "any act or human behavior that tends to use a certain amount of coercive force, including coercion, physical harm, the illegal use of weapons and traditional and modern methods of torture that violate basic human rights recognized by divine laws and international conventions in dealing with the administration Human relations, including differences in the cultural, social, economic and political spheres, with the aim of achieving goals in those areas ranging from subjugation, pressure, adjustment and marginalization (exclusion), and may affect others who are not targeted. Ri is peaceful happens between individuals, groups or authorities have to each other within a particular community or between certain communities and certain elements .. is generated mainly from the intersection or overlapping or concerted elements from different environments).
Terrorism may sometimes be (act) and often (reaction), in both cases targeted by a particular group or specific people with the aim of terrorizing them on the one hand, and on the other hand, the party that signed the act of terrorism may not be a target It is a means of influencing another party so that it has the will or the will to submit to the will of the party based on terrorism. The first party targeted by terrorism is often the weakest party to be targeted, while the second party (which is the act of terrorism) Are so powerful that a direct clash with them is avoided.
Terrorism is a dangerous phenomenon in the life of human societies and is a low way to reach the goals. Terrorism does not have an identity and does not belong to a country and has no ideology, because it exists when there are reasons, justifications and reasons in every time, place, language and religion.
Here is the question, what are the causes of terrorism? What are the reasons why it has become a global phenomenon that is expanding and spreading? What are the ways and means to address and eradicate this phenomenon?
Second: The causes of the phenomenon of terrorism:
The reasons for the existence of the phenomenon (terrorism) and its increase are multiple and distributed in different fields of political - economic - social, psychological and other, and study these reasons is a very difficult task, as this study should precede another study of the most complex problems facing individuals and the international community and local alike.
The main problem facing the determination of the causes of the phenomenon is the difference of views in the analysis of the phenomenon itself, and the result of these differences is due to the different interpretations of the political, economic, social and cultural problems that result from this phenomenon However, there is agreement on a number of causes of international terrorism, at least on the economic side, and on this basis to the extent that terrorism has different causes of the phenomenon and different hidden motives, insofar as the aspects that appear are varied and the ways that it is B including multiple.
Given the importance of the international economy in the international political arena as the main driver of all international interactions and interdependence, the effect and influence of both politics and economy are two sides of a single coin.
And it becomes necessary to address the phenomenon of terrorism according to the economic vision and research on the direct causes of the spread of this phenomenon at the economic level and we point out that terrorism according to the economic perspective had been referred to by social scientists and thinkers and politicians as the son of the French Revolution, in the face of internal and external problems related to On the economic side, lies and contradictions were embodied
