"The lion will lie down with the lamb," so one verse in the famous Bible. nobody says anything about pigs or kangaroos, but that does not prevent these two unconventional animals from making headlines all over the world.

the cross-species couple was caught by camera researcher Ryan Frazer, who was traveling in Northern Territory Australia when he met them in the town of Aileron, about 80 miles north of Alice Springs.

"What is perhaps most surprising about this is how much the two animals love each other, which even looks more loving than I've ever seen between two humans" says Ryan Frazer.

frazer, a PhD student at Wollongong University, told NT News that he saw the animals through the fence during stops last month when the kangaroos started behaving lovingly towards pigs:

"We were a little stunned, I along with my boss felt a little awkward," he said.

"Then the pig's surprisingly boarded the kangaroo ... I've never seen anything like this."

"(One of my colleagues) visiting from North America, it must be a memory he will bring with him, though I'm not sure if it is a good thing or not."

mark Eldridge, lead research scientist at the Australian Museum, told the BBC: "Kangaroos or other animals raised by humans can exhibit unusual behavior.

"I know another case where kangaroos and wallabies ... do not consider themselves as kangaroos anymore and see other animals as potential sexual partners."

the owner of both animals, Greg Dick, told NT News that the pig, named Apel, and kangaroo, whose name is too vulgar to publish here, has an intense connection and, in his words, "fall in love."

"It's a very unusual thing," he added. "I tried to take the pig a few days ago and the kangaroo almost tore the fence where he was."

However, kangaroos are not always faithful to Apple. "She'll try to have sex with anything," said Dick. "It's surprising that he has never tried it with a goose."

Mr. Frazer told the Daily Mail: "We're pretty weird about everything that happens, and I know this is a very unusual phenomenon.

"I pointed this out to some people in the days that followed, but I was really burdened by the reaction now.

"What may be most surprising about this is a relationship that is deeply grounded by the love of the two couples, even more than I ever saw among humans."
