different forms of love, and what's love?

in #love3 years ago

"what is love? For such a small word, it certainly has a deeply rooted connection to almost everything in the world.
people can fall in love with someone and one can do something in the name of love. I love to hate something
It's not only an incredibly versatile word, it's also a pretty flexible concept!
But what exactly is love and why is everyone obsessed with it?
Science describes it in a typically non-romantic way. We feel love when certain hormones are released throughout the body and certain areas of the brain, such as the hippocampus, are activated.

  1. Agápe – The highest form of love.Agape is considered the highest of all forms of love. However, there are many ways to interpret it.
The word first appeared as a verb in the days of the legendary Greek writer Homer, who lived around the 7th century BC. He wrote Iliad and Odyssey.
Agape meant love at the time. B. Say hello to someone lovingly.
However, the word has evolved over time and is used in various translations of the Bible, so it is more closely related to God's love.
Agape in such cases means God's love for mankind and mankind's love for God
2.Éros – The love of romance.

Eros is a highly respected and important form of love, and even the Greek god of love was named after her. To keep up with the
trend, the modern Greek word for "heartfelt love" is Erotas. That's not a mistake. Eros is the closest thing we call romantic love today.
This form of love usually extends to thoughts, desires, and actions that are confined to the bedroom or dating. But that's not all.
It's also the love you find in your marriage, like love for the other half.
In fact, Plato believed that it was the former rather than the latter, and that it had no physical boundaries or charms and was therefore Platonic.

3.Philia – Brotherly love, or the love between friends.

One of the most common forms of love that we experience on a daytoday basis is philia, or the love shared between friends.
This form of love was first defined by the Greek philosopher Aristotle as the love that is shared between friends, particularly in three specific types of friendships.
The first type of friendship is that which is based on utility, or usefulness.
This form of philia consists of relationships or interactions between people in very shallow circumstances, such as buying something from someone.
In modern times we probably wouldn`t refer to this kind of relationship as a friendship, though, more like an acquaintance. The second form of
Philia is much closer to what we expect. It's only about enjoying socializing with others.
This is everything, including sharing drinks, sharing experiences through shared hobbies, and doing something fun with others.
The last form of Philia associated with the best form is what is called love shared between brothers and true friends.
It's like Philia who enjoys not only each other's company but also each other's personality.
I really like other people here, not just because it's fun to be with them.
4.Storge – The love shared between family.

Storge is a form of love that is considered to be the most natural and develops as an instinct more than anything else.
It's a kind of love that mothers have for their children even before they are born, and it connects families no matter what the world throws at them.
This form of love is experienced almost exclusively among families and can grow or shrink over time, depending on how close the family is.
The main interpretation of Storge, unrelated to the family, is found among close friends.
The deeper the friendship, the closer Philia's love becomes.
But as friends approach and begin to care for each other almost instinctively, it can develop into a whirlwind of love that makes your friends feel like a family.

5, Philautia – Self-love.

Philautia was originally compared to love for oneself and one's well-being and interest in happiness.
Curiously, this wasn't always considered a highly regarded form of love, but it was even a moral flaw! The
people who practiced Philautia were classified as useless, selfish, and selfish.
But over time, Philautia has gained a better reputation and understanding.
Gradually, Philautia, or narcissism, has evolved into a concept that is not only good, but also very beneficial to your mental health.
The relationship between narcissism and mental health was first created by psychologists in 1830, but did not really gain momentum until the 20th century.
Recently, narcissism is considered essential and it is generally accepted to take a holiday just to take care of yourself!
When was the last day of narcissism?

  1. Xenia-Love for hospitality.

This form of love is not a kind of love, but a general guideline to follow to entertain everyone who passes by your home.
The result of hospitality is love, which is one of the oldest and most rooted forms found anywhere in the world. As for the concept of Xenia, all
cultures on the other side of the globe share similarities.
General characteristics are generally similar, but start with one main principle. That is, we need to respect, nourish, and contain everyone who exceeds the threshold.
This example is found in many myths and legends of pre-Christian religions throughout Europe.
In such myths, God walks the earth in the form of humans, who move to another home and attempt hospitality. The common theme of the
is that if he treats the guest with respect, he will receive a reward or gift from God, otherwise he will be punished.
Let's talk about tough love!
What we have touched on here today is just one drop of the way we have found to explain the emotions, thoughts and emotions we define as love.
Love is so intangible and seems so difficult to understand, so we'll probably try to define it for the rest of the time.
So what is it?
I think it was best explained by John Lennon and Paul McCartney- "Love is everything you need."
