"logiczombie" contest.... entry one: feminism and confusion

Introduction:

My Ideas on the Logiczombie notion:

A zombie is a dead person who eats brain. A zombie eats brain because he doesn't have one and blindly follows other zombies because they eat brain too. He can't think for himself and be an independent thinker. In other words, he can't be creative and accepts other people's opinions as his own and follows what the majority of people follow. When the word "logic" is added to the word "zombie" and the word "logiczombie" is created, a word is created which is full of contradictions and oppositions. The word 'logic" has nothing in common with the word "zombie". These two words are opposites. While a logic needs to be alive, a zombie needs to be dead. So, someone who is a logiczombie is a dead agent who makes a logic seem alive. That's a good way to put it.

How Do you Define LogicZombie?

I think everyone defines this word the same, but they look at it from different perspectives but their conclusion is the same. A logiczombie is someone who believes in something and doesn't accept anything other than that. I analyzed logiczombie in the movie industry and looked at it from the perspective of feminism.

Feminism in the Movie Industry and Confusion

When I first heard the word "logiczombie", it reminded me of that movie series "The walking dead". I didn't watch the whole thing because I was bored of them constantly fighting and there were some disgusting scenes in that series. Not for me. Specially that scene where Sarah Wayne Callies was delivering a baby. I linked it above if you want to watch it. I couldn't forget that scene like ever. Why people liked it so much, I always asked myself. I remember when it was first aired, it was shocking to some people and I heard them talking about that particular scene a lot, and now I am asking myself why I cant forget about it. It has to be this scene and no other scene. Don't get me wrong, I like horror movies but zombies, I never understood their point of existence. If you watched it, then you know that the son kills the mother to stop her from turning into a zombie. It is certainly good for the views to put shocking scenes like that in the movies.

I always asked myself why women have to go through so much pain and their pain and sacrifice is celebrated as something a good mother would do as shown in this scene. I think, the "delivery scene" explains the whole situation of women nowadays and how women are still perceived by men. Its like feminism changed nothing. Its like their level of pain tolerance determines their powers for being good mothers to children and if they are powerful enough, they make it to raise the children and if they are not, they better die or get lost.

This series is made by men and men wrote the script. They still have the same attitude towards women, it is only modernized. I mean their logic never changed, they just accepted the point of view of women that feminists made them listen over the years. They didn't take it much seriously because they see that women don't believe they should stop celebrating their pain. What I am getting from it is that as a woman whatever you do and how much successful you are, even if you become the president, you will always be a woman who delivers babies and whose life is in the hands of a man. It is like they shame this part of womanhood and celebrate it at the same time. I researched this a bit to understand why men act like this, I found out that they have to have control over the birth process, some form of control to make them feel like they are men. They define themselves as they compare themselves to women and their birth giving ability, because they know that it is a sacred thing to bring life into the world and they can't do themselves, so they shame it through celebrating it. They have a love-hate relationship with this ability women have. That's how I see it.

Do you think feminism changed situation for women, but couldn't change the mindset of men and their attitude towards women? Well, I think they see women the same, nothing changed, just a few laws

I used to like watching these kinds of movies where women are always the victim. I thought I should be the victim for some man to save me and love me. That was not a long time ago, but I don't like that anymore. I know this is all manipulation and lies. Lies told by men to keep women in this fantasy land where they are heroes and women's only job is to be saved, while in reality they laugh at girls or women who still believe that a prince charming in a shining armor someday will come and save them and some of them who are fuckboys take advantage of this mindset and play with a girl's emotions and they get what they want out of the relationship and then when the girl has nothing else they can get, they vanish into thin air.

Female Empowerment in Hollywood Movies

It is only recently that Hollywood is making movies where women are in control and strong. Women who can handle anything just as a man does. They can kill and protect themselves. They are not those dainty creatures who needed a man's help in everything. This image of women as weak humans inferior to men is only how men saw them and because they didn't have a voice in the past, this was accepted as something that is common. Feminism changed it to a degree, but I don't think their movements was much successful. I think the only reason they are starting to make movies with women in power is that women are tired of watching those movies where they are dainty creatures.

Women are under Pressure more Nowadays

There is a twist to some of these movies sometimes. They throw in this truth they believe is true, trying to show even though you as a woman succeeded with feminism a bit, you are still a woman who needs a man and you have to have a job, take care of men and raise children now. Now men don't accept you if you are only a woman, you have to be that ideal woman feminists says you are capable of. If you are not this ideal woman, then you are the traditional woman used to be shamed for being a woman and raising children. The logic of feminism has not worked for women who just wanted to be traditional moms. Women hated each other before, now they hate each other more if they see they can't be that ideal woman because they see no talents in themselves.

Men Are Angry

It took three waves of Feminism for women to reach this level and still they are not accepted. When men see progress in this area, some become angry and try to change the trajectory its taking in the world. It is because if women take their power away from them, they have to be submissive to them and this is not good news at all. It means they have to define their masculity again, something they used to do comparing themselves with women. If they both have the power in bringing new life to the world and the power to control, they will take their revenge. Something they have been waiting to do for a long time. They will take revenge for those years of abuse wrongfully done to them because of their gender. This is good but here and there you see men who are angry about this situation and they don't know how to define themselves now that women are gaining their control.

Conclusion

I think men's logic or mindset towards women hasn't changed much and they are more confused than ever of how to treat women. Their logic is the same, they are only forced to obey the laws brought by the feminist movements. I believe that feminism has done a good job in voicing the opinion of women and preventing men from silencing them through many psychological and political techniques to keep the power and money. However, brought new problems for women when attempted to redefine how they are perceived by society and men. We could say that feminism changed the logic men have towards women to a degree, However, at the end of the day, when it comes to making a life altering decision, men rely on their instincts and remember what their fathers did to save themselves from the confusion. I am waiting for a time when women accept each other and love each other and support each other. TV series and movies also have a large role in shaping how women are perceived and how they should act to get the love they are looking for and most of the scrips are written by men. Men are still zombies towards women.

You touched a raw nerve there but so true. Hope people start seeing it too.

yes, I hope so, maybe the future generation will

You make some very good points.

I think you might like this,

They dont want to accept the truth even with evidence

This is a good illustration of the "standards-of-evidence" problem.

Ripley only has personal testimony (Qualia) to support her case, and her sanity is in question, so the investigators, in the absence of fact (Quanta) are forced to conclude she is likely an unreliable witness, at least until they lose contact with LV426.
