MemeLogic - Lockdown Absurdity #StopTheLockdown

Enough Already!

I think we have reached to point where this entire lockdown has gone beyond absurd, specifically in how government is imposing rules and regulations to try prevent it. How does it make any logical sense that people are at greater risk walking outside alone, than congregating at the grocery store. The banning of products like alcohol and tobacco was based on what science exactly? The biggest issue this country is currently facing is not being allowed to work and earn a living, which is rather important for things like eating, or having a roof over your head. Let's not forget that those in government have grown fat off taxes stolen from people in almost every aspect of life, and not to mention the unending allegations and charges of corruption over the last decade. These are the same people who couldn't fix a 10 year electricity problem and furthermore have fucked each and every state owned enterprise light years beyond bankruptcy. But somehow we believe they have the magic ability to somehow manage this outbreak? They couldn't run a bath, let alone a country.

We don't know with 100% certainty that the lockdown was the best course of action and the global scientific community are split on this question as well. But we need to evaluate where we are now two months into this outbreak, the highest affected area is the USA, with an 0.2% infection rate and a death rate 0.02%. South Africa has an infection rate of 0.01% and a death rate of 0.0002%, and the question is does that constitute bankrupting the entire country? Unfortunately we have to compare this to other pandemics where government has taken almost no action. South Africa has 58 murders a day, 154 rapes every day, 38 road deaths each and every day, and what extreme measures did government take? Absolutely fuck all. Just an example, if our government really valued human life they would reduce the speed limit to 20km per hour, and it would eliminate road deaths saving 38 lives everyday. You have better chance of being raped twice and then murdered while dying in a car accident, before you die from the Corona virus, and you risk that everyday.

I'm done with this lockdown and will be going back to work by any mean necessary, it's my choice and my risk, fuck the government, they can't stop all of us. If you feel differently then stay at home and keep yourself safe.

"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin
