Nobody likes to boast about avocado toast. A now infamous Australian politician remarked that millennial love of avocado toast was preventing them from being able to buy homes. Yes, the main problem with affording a first home is an addiction to avocado toast. By kicking this habit, a person can then assume vast amounts of debt far beyond their net worth in most instances that they will pay over the course of decades. In comparison to this literal rising a child of debt avocado toast feels foolish, apparently. Great amounts of self-reflection happen during the consumption of avocado toast, something no politician really wants.

To think about other friends during avocado toast consumption feels so right. Nothing is wrong about it. Avocados are empathic creatures. Upon losing their life, they are waited upon as potential consumers wait for them to fully ripen. Millions of avocados have frustrated their owners for their lack of the proper amount of softness. Hard exteriors of the avocado belie their kind-hearted center, which to most humans feels particularly hard. Plenty realize eating the hard center of an avocado is right, yet there is that saying “it sounds so wrong but it feels so right”. Honestly a few people every year gain tremendous empathy through eating the avocado’s heart, akin to the days of old when people ate each other’s hearts.

Friendship requires no eating of the heart but instead the sharing. Sometimes friends do not always make the best decisions. This is why friends exist: to help people navigate their lives. Not every decision is always to be the best one. By making “good enough decisions” a person can do just fine. Within the decision making world, even a mediocre one will suffice. Anything else may not be able to do that. Over the course of a lifetime plenty of friends make plenty of bad decisions. Such thoughts about a friend during brunch throws bunch off, make brunch a meal of empathy and reflection rather than about the food which is what is really should always be about.

Empathy may be one of the best emotions ever created. Creatures ought to care about each other. With avocado toast, creatures really care about each other, enough to make awesome yummy toast. Thanks to the power of avocado toast entire worlds have been changed, always for the better. So that Australian politician who mocked it shall never live it down, not a million years.

:-) not sure i understand whats being conveyed here. Is 'avocado toast' symbolic for something?
Because you cant eat the hear of an avocado...its a giant seed.
But yes, empathy is an amazing emotion when its genuine. To actually feel anothers pain and understand their problems, especially if you have gone through the same thing, is truly providential.
If you (anyone), goes through a rough experience, you will be a stronger person.
That strength that pulled you through, is an incredible tool in helping others get through the same thing, by way of Empathy.
Nice work! Upvoted and following!
