Limo2Lessons school run 21st December 2006

In November 2006, my first year of high school at Vale Of Leven Academy, I entered a competition on YOUR Radio 103-106.9FM called Limo2Lessons where a lucky student gets picked to ride in a white Limo along with their friends to school and be broadcast live on the morning breakfast show. A few days before the ride, I got back home from school and my mother excitedly tells me that a DJ from YOUR Radio FM phoned her to inform that I was picked for the competition. After getting Gavin McLafferty, Chris Campbell, Liam Davidson and Mark MacGillivray to come along for the ride, we get into the Limo whilst our parents were listening close by the old VHS audio tape recorder in the living room. The DJ Maddie was in the Limo talking on the phone so she did not greet our excited faces at first but eventually warmed to us and guided us into what happens during the broadcast. We eventually did get on the air while parked up on Riverside Quay and from Gavin dryly remarking that he’ll get used to school, to Mark declaring his love for Shannen the question was then put to me about what I would like for Christmas. My answer - Flight Simulator X. Nevertheless we got to the school a bit more famous for the day. I do have recordings of the broadcast on a disc but it may have to wait before I upload it.
