A farmer's Secret to hapiness
After the big economic crisis in Greece, my father, who lost his job as a head of management in a big furniture production company, decided to devotede himself in a small farm, in a northern village in Greece.
I always assumed that it must be really hard to loose a good job that brought you a generous income and a comfortable life, but I have to admit that, since he started working at his small farm, I have never seen him happier or more peaceful.
I visited his "safe place" and indeed, being around animals for the most time of the day has an extremely calming effect on your soul. Combining with the sweet sunny days any time of the year, spending one day at a greek small farm can recharge your batteries for the whole year.
Maybe the secret to happiness is to stop asking for more human-made materialistic things and enjoy the small moments that nature has to offer to you...
