Have you been to a Summer Camp?

I always join summer camp every year, it is one the biggest events in church. Summer camp is a supervised program for millennials that came from different islands and regions. It is so good to be part in this event because it helps the teenagers to be more confident, resilient, self-sufficient, creative, competitive, knowing each potential and capability. Summer camp is not just about socializing with people, but it is also a way of studying God's words and experience His love through the activities incorporated with the event.

Summer Camp is held in different parts of Cebu. The 2017 Summer Camp was held at ARC Christian Camp, Santander, Cebu. There are more or less 350 campers who attended the camp. I appreciated those delegates who came from a far just to join this event. Distance was never a hindrance for them to come to the event area. They exerted a lot of efforts and spent their savings just to meet the other young people in Cebu who have the same passion and have the same faith in God.

I was so thankful for my team, that I was able to know them though it was just for a short while. They came from different islands. Some were from Leyte, Bohol, Ilo-Ilo, and others were from different places in Cebu. I miss them already. Because were together for 4 days and 3 nights, we were able to build connection with each other which made me miss them after the camp.

My time was worthwhile spending it with all the people in the camp. I have learned a lot of lessons from the lectures during the camp and from all the activities we do everyday. It was very tiring yet it was worthwhile.
