Oops I Went Out

Remember yesterday when I posted a Saturday Selfcare looking like I’m all about to be chilling with myself, watching Netflix and going to bed early. And that was my full intention until I got a text from a friend asking me to go for a drink. I am not very spontaneous and it’s hard to get me out if I’ve already planned on staying in, but I decided to pull myself together real fast and force myself out the door.

I promised to go for one drink, and one drink only, which is obviously a lie to both myself and to my friend. But I was definitely not planning on dancing until 4am at the club after first having drinks at a laid back pub. I’m glad I did though because unplanned nights are always the best, since you have zero expectations.

Gosh I missed dancing and I had the best time sweating my ass off on the dancefloor. A white button down and high wasted jeans weren’t the best of outfit choice for that scenario but I made it work and it’s whatever when all you want to do is move to the music. At least I has boots on that had a block heel.

Ps. Took me an hour to write this random post with my semi-hungover brain.

High-five! I was semi-hungover most of today, too! Damn how I hate alcohol...

I don't think you hate alcohol, you hate the withdrawals from it :D

I actually kind of forced myself to drink even though I felt like I didn't want to and hated it. Bleh.

Glad you got all the mud off before you went out, although that may have made the night more interesting if you didn't...Sounds like a good night...Except for the dancing. Well, to be honest dancing is good, it's just not my thing...I like watching it, not doing it. I guess I don't see the point and...I dance like a...Like a...Fuck it, I can't even think of anything bad enough to use as an example. 😂

Legit outfit...Blue jeans white shirt. Simple and allows the true star of the show to shine through. Oops, I paid you a compliment.

I heard blackface is not socially acceptable so I think it was a smart choice to wash off the mud and slap on a different mask more suited to my natural colouring :D

It's fine, not everyone has to know or even like dancing. I don't even mind if I'm the only one at the dancefloor, I need my space :D

Why thank you very much :)

I'm not sure about blackface but my mocha-coloured one is all I got...It doesn't wash off...Seems to be widely accepted tolerated though. 😁

You're welcome, for the compliment I mean.

The natural kind is accepted, though still fairly rare here, but the painted one seems to rub people the wrong way, wonder why 🤔😅 Drawing the line on self tanning.

Haha...Phew, that's a relief! Rare in Finland though? Hmm, I'll add a bit of colour to it when I get there in July then. (10th) 😁

Not in Helsinki but I live in a fairly small city. And coming from the countryside, I think I was like 15 when I first saw a dark skinned person in the flesh 😂😅 That was exotic!

Haha, 15 the first time you saw a darkie? Exitic indeed!

I'm hoping we can catch up for a drink with a few peeps when we're there. We have two weeks so should be able to make it happen. Two darkies in a lifetime... Will be some sort of record! 😂

It's all about selfcare! Xo

No me gustan los selfies, aunque mi voto siempre es a la artista y positivo claro

Necesitas un paraguas para proyectar la luz, si te gusta de verdad la fotografía, es una herramienta muy útil en espacios cerrados ;)

I don't like selfies, although my vote is always to the artist and of course positive

You need an umbrella to project the light, if you really like photography, it is a very useful tool in closed spaces;)
