Good argumentation, but I don't really think university students are not working with books anymore, at least not in my university.
Also, if we are talking unrealiability of information on the internet we have to take into account that academic writings often discuss theories, not only facts, so the internet can really help to find alternatives to the most popuar scientific, economic etc. theories and help to have more than one viewpoint.
Still, you have lots of valid points :)
